Newt Gingrich warns of 'destructive' GOP primaries (The Rhino Strikes Back)

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich predicted disaster
for his party if the conservative wing of the GOP
continues to field independent candidates to the right
of the party’s nominee.

“If we get into a cycle where there are tea parties and
there are conservative third-party candidates, we will
make [Nancy] Pelosi speaker for life,” Gingrich told
POLITICO in an interview Thursday, calling the
practice “totally destructive.”

But Gingrich, who broke with many fellow conservatives
by getting behind the liberal Republican who was
nominated but ultimately dropped out and backed the
Democrat in a New York special congressional election,
admitted that Dede Scozzafava was too far to the left to
hold the GOP’s center-right coalition together

NO, NEWT, YOU WORTHLESS POS.

If we get into a cycle where there are RINOs, "moderates," pro-amnesty, pro-death care and pro-crap/theft candidates, the GOP and their DNC enablers will make Nancy Pelosi speaker for life.

The important lesson to draw from this is that EVERY one of these “faces” they put up that are supposedly conservative are actually NOT.

They’ve been scamming us for a long time.

NG totally discredited himself with NY-23. I don’t read anything he says now, I might as well be reading David Gergen or Peggy Noonan. Perdition to them and good riddance.

Newt had his chance. It's over. Time to go.

He is a Republican first, a Conservative second.

Isn’t it time to start correcting the use of the word “rhino” when being used to refer to Republicans In Name Only. The acronym is “RINO” and should not be confused with a denizen of Africa’s veld.

The lessons learned from New York are so obvious that only a politician could fail to read them.

(1) The conservatives are on or part the point of open revolt against the RNC leadership.

(2) Conservative candidates with no RNC support do better than RNC candidates with no conservative support.

(3) The Republican party gave $900, 000 to a liberal who attacked the conservative and endorse the democrat.

And here’s Dr. Newt Frankenstein manning the tower, trying to protect the monster created by the GOP from the torch wielding townsfolk.

(Wish I could draw political cartoons.)

Go home, Newt. The castle is burning and we’ve breached the drawbridge.

No one cares if he is considering running for President. He floated that balloon and it popped. Conservatism is not the extreme right wing of the party and moderates have been steadily moving left. He could serve a purpose by helping to organize another Contract with America and guide GOPAC again, instead we get mistakes like Scozzafava and weak first principles while we have to listen to his "musings". The guy loves to hear himself talk and people are tired of listening.

As an aside, Gingrich loves to push his wife on people, it's obnoxious and no one believes that they are some great couple nor do they care. It's like a father desperate for his kids to like his third wife.

How about if the GOP starts running conservative candidates there won’t be a need to run third party candidates you genius...

If the GOP doesn’t want to be the conservative party then I’m no longer a Republican. It is as simple as that.

"The conservatives are on or part the point of open revolt against the RNC leadership."

When I heard that Dede Scozzafava was given the
Margaret Sanger Award from planned parenthood (1-800-Murder)
I was very upset.

If anyone Is helping Pelosi and the Democrats it is Newt Gingrich himself.

He seems to be against freedom of speech (TEA parties) and against giving the voters a choice (third party conservatives). Essentially saying that there is no alternative except to take the low road and hitch a ride on the dem’s destructive trajectory. Rather disappointing inexcusable garbage IMO.

I couldn’t agree with you more about his wife, WTF cares who she is or what she thinks, if she thinks.

I think that it is very revealing how politicians look at power. It seems that they will do anything, abandon any principle, ask their constituents to compromise all of their principles all for the sake of achieving power.

Whenever power is assumed, exactly when is principle returned to the administration of said power? Never, that’s when. If your daughter sets aside a principle temporarily while on a date with a boy and surrenders her virginity, when exactly does her virtue return?

Call me a purist if you like, but whenever I have a difficult time telling the difference between the RNC and the DNC, our tent is entirely too large. If we haven’t any principles left, to where exactly do we withdraw and reform?
