dang ... even worse than I thought!
“He also said critics who suggest the health care bill is unconstitutional are making a spurious argument.
It doesn’t sound spurious to me.
Wars were fought in this country over the right to peaceably travel from place to place without interference by highwaymen or government agents.
The Democrats telling us that are just BSing, or they are remarkably stupid.
For most of his adult life he's never had to conform to the laws like the rest of us. His chauffeur probably knows the driver's license and insurance laws, but not him
We still carry Uninsured Motorist Coverage, which proves how well that idea works.
another asshole socialist
Sen. Warner needs to read the 10th Amendment, and understand what the difference is between powers granted to the states and to the people (e.g. drivers licenses) and powers NOT granted to the federal government. It makes a difference.
Warner would have failed the anaology section of his SAT.
Yet we can’t require people to have an I.D. to vote. Ah, the hypocrisy of the Left.
Soon a carbon tax on every breath we exhale.
Technically in most states your are required to satisfy minimum financial responsibility limits in the event you injure someone with your vehicle. Insurance just happens to be the only means that most of us can use to do it. But this is only for so called third party, i.e. liability, coverages. Unless your bank requires physical damage insurance you are under no obligation to purchase it, same goes for homeowners insurance, life insurance, etc.
The Dem argument here is complete bull and a red herring. Since they have declared health care a right and mandated that every hospital has to provide it regardless of ability to pay they can now argue that everyone needs to buy in so that they no longer get a free ride. I have another suggestion, no ticky...no washy.
[[Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) told CNSNews.com that the constitutional authority for Congress to require individuals to purchase health insurance is the same that allowed for Medicaid and Medicare, and for states to require drivers licenses. He also said critics who suggest the health care bill is unconstitutional are making a spurious argument.]]
I Reeeeeeally hope people like him get sued back to the stone ages for comments liek that which attempt to deprive Americans of our constitutional rights
“Soon a carbon tax on every breath we exhale”.
Cue the song by the Police, “every breathe you take”.
