2 Chronicles 7:14
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
South Dakota needs a God fearing Governor; someone who is willing to call His people to pray and seek direction in these troubled times. We need State Legislators, City and County officials and school board members who will look to God for direction as they lead the people of this state.
I am asking 1,000 people for a commitment to pray with me in November, December and January.
This is the daily prayer assignment:
Many have already joined together. If you believe you are one of the 1,000 called to pray, please email (send email to sdpray@ghowie.com ) to say you are joining me. If you know someone else who may want to join our prayer team, feel free to share this with them, and ask them to email their contact information so we can keep them informed. Through January, we will be sharing with each other what we are seeing and hearing. I am excited to see what God will do as we begin to pray together! 2When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice
Gordon Howie
State Senator, District 30
Proverbs 29:2
It worked for Georgia. Last year during a severe drought, our governor prayed for rain. Now our lakes are full.
Praise the Lord for that!!!!!!!!!!
Joining S D State Senator in this 3 months specific prayer call.
Already praying for our nation, state, city, elected officials, troops, our children, etc.
And Atlanta had the most rainfall in one day just this week! The Lord answered. I hope the Governor remembers to say "thank you".
Even one leper remmebered to do that.
Let’s not forget the “FLOOD OF 2009.” I believe God answered the people’s prayers but the State was not prepared for the amount of rainfall the LORD sent!
Mixed blessings is an understatement!I am thinking of the poor 29 year old father with 2 children working to pay for a gravestone for his wife, the only death in the Georgia FLood.People are still homeless because Georgia was not prepared for their prayers being answered.
