The MP's are the military version of your local police department. They enforce many of the same type of laws that your local police do. Some are on traffic patrol while others look after the kids at the on base night clubs.

Just like the local police cannot be everywhere at once, neither can the MP's.

What about changing procedures so our guys won’t have to go through this again? Is that impossible? (Increasing security) hasan knew there’d be no protection at forthood, he knew the weakness and took advantage of it.

I hope something will change because of this. They deserve better from us, and it makes my blood boil. We may be peon civilians, but we know wrong when we see it.

Well, now the other shoe has dropped, and as is usual in all human tragedies, there is a lot more to the story than on the surface. Officials: U.S. Aware of Hasan Efforts to Contact al Qaeda

In brief, again, we have a failure of those in charge to act on good intelligence.

"It took 3+ minutes for police to respond to the massacre. During that time, 40+ unarmed victims were shot.--travis"

WHO STILL BELIEVES THAT CHANGE IS NOT NEEDED?
WHO STILL BELIEVES THAT OUR SOLDIERS DO NOT DESERVE BETTER PROTECTION CONSIDERING THE FESTERING JIHAD TERRORIST CLIMATE?

From the Northeast Intelligence Network:

ABC News Online article, intelligence sources reportedly had a level of knowledge that HASAN was in communication with al Qaeda assets abroad. The source speaking to this author confirmed that report but went further, stating that this and information similar but not directly related to such communications became a “political issue” between government agencies and officials “at the policy making levels” of the administration.

According to this source, the now infamous pre-9/11 walls erected within government agencies have returned, “but this time they are higher and stronger.” “There is an unwillingness to address ‘delicate’ intelligence and security matters by sharing information outside of the beltway, and that directive comes right from the top. That’s all I’m going to say right now,” stated this source.

Based on the information provided during this interview, it would appear that intelligence officials were well aware of not only HASAN’s prior associations with known Muslim terrorists, but his current sympathy with anti-American, pro-jihad, al Qaeda ideology and his views about the U.S. military engaging the enemy on Muslim soil. >Ft. So our entire intelligence community are nothing but bureaucrats ?

I do believe we are in End Times.

The experiment in Christian self government is over.
