KILLEEN, Texas - Leaders of the vibrant Muslim community here expressed outrage on Friday at the shooting rampage being laid to one of their members, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who had become a regular attendee of prayers at the local mosque. But some of the men who had befriended Major Hasan at the mosque said the military should examine the policies that might have caused him to snap.
"When a white guy shoots up a post office, they call that going postal," said Victor Benjamin II, 30, a former member of the Army. "But when a Muslim does it, they call it jihad.
That's because that's what the Muslims who do it call it.
"Ultimately it was Brother Nidal's doing, but the command should be held accountable," Mr. Benjamin said. "G.I.'s are like any equipment in the Army. When it breaks, those who were in charge of keeping it fit should be held responsible for it."...

Shouldn’t the brass at the base be blamed if they knew something was not right with the guy in the first place? Didn’t he have a history of causing problems that were well documented? If so, to say that the brass at the base aren’t responsible is, well, just irresponsible.
If they are willing to sit year after year in a Mosque and listen to the Jihadist BS, they are as guilty as the SOB who pulled the trigger!

BUT, I suspect ALL branches of the military including my beloved U.S.M.C. AND other gov’t agencies are very hesitant to investigate and/or reprimand members of the “protected” “religion of peace” for fear of being branded “racist.”

In the first place how can it be racist. If anything, it is “religionist”. That said...all mooslims who go along with, support or are jihadists need a quick trip to the afterlife. What a bunch of uncivilized losers.
I don’t believe he “snapped”. I believe he as a devout Muslim had no business being in the US Army. Apparently he was conflicted about having to kill other Muslims so he made a choice. It is as simple as that!
They should start by purging the bases of the terrorist training materials - the koran and hadith.
