I always thought it strange that both Clinton and Gore were conveniently out of the country during 9/11. If it had been Bush and Cheney the conspiracies would have gone nuclear.

I don't remember where Gore was on 9/11...just very glad he wasn't President. I can't imagine him handling the crisis one-tenth as well as Bush did. He might have tried to exploit the tragedy the way that Clinton did with the Oklahoma City bombing.

The big loser from Gore's failure to steal the 2000 election was Saddam Hussein--he'd still be in charge of Iraq if Gore had been President on 9/11.
