NidalHasan scribbled: There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that "IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE" and Allah (SWT) knows best.
Needs to be verified.
Well, first of all, how did this guy ever become a doctor? He writes and spells like a five year old!
Yep, it’s associated with him his name, but as of this writing; no one has confirmed yet that he wrote it.
Date is several months ago. Kinda hard to fake the timestamp on the web page. Occam’s Razor applies.
Unlikely that someone with the same name would write a highly applicable screed just a few months before, right about the time he’d have been coming to grips with the core concepts that (A) he is a soldier in his enemy’s army, and (B) his newfound religion obliges him to kill as many fellow soldiers as possible ASAP.
Yes it could be a coincidence or a fake, but not likely.
Sometimes Occam’s Razor is dull.
Need independent cross check.
I noted the scribd entry yesterday on the thread I’m updating for archival purposes.
When it is confirmed that he wrote it (or not); I will post the update at that time, too.
The difference between the two enemies is.. one tries to kill only the opposing enemy, the other doesn’t care who he kills. Suicide?? Taking his life for a noble cause? Where that BS come into the equation? These murderers don’t care.. they will kill anyone and anything around. Where is the nobility in that?
He is a lifelong Muslim, so it's not a newfound religion.
“He writes and spells like a five year old!”
I know a retired FBI agent who was appalled at the lack of writing, and speaking skills of FBI new hires.
They were law school grads.
BUMP.
I was watching CNN last night an a DC area doctor and class mate of Hasan’s said that during a class in evormonmental health, Hasan had given a power point presentation on “suicide bombers”. On another occasion, he had given a lecture in the same class, supposedly on health issues, a rant on US policy. The doctor thought it was kind of irrelevant for the course and spoke to the professor about it but nothing was done.
He also claimed that Hasan, had frequently interupted the class with his political rants and comments.
I agree with you. it is VERY unlikley that these blogs were by any other than Malik Nadal Hasan. terrorist
