Sign the Petition HR 615
Congressman John Fleming ^ | November 6, 2009 | Email

Posted on 11/06/2009 9:15:53 AM PST by Publius6961

Subject: HR 615

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment, courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn, which would require all Members of Congress and their staff members to enroll in any new government-run health plan.

Congressman John Fleming has proposed an amendment that would require Congressmen and Senators to take the same health care plan that they would force on us. (Under proposed legislation they are exempt.)

Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go to his Website and sign his petition. The process is very simple. I have done just that at:

Petition Link

Senator Coburn and Congressman Fleming are both physicians.

Regardless of your political beliefs, it sure seems reasonable that Congress should have exactly the same medical coverage that they impose on the rest of us. Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!

TOPICS: Government; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: 111th; democrats; government; healthcare; losers; obamacare
Apologies if this has already been posted.
I tried to get in to sign the petition, but the server is overwhelmed, LOL!

Keep trying, and spread the word!

I’ll say it again for the 1000th time, any online petition that asks for anything more than a name and state/zip code is a data mining venture to build email and mailing lists. Sometimes they are used entirely internally by the org but most of the time they are made available to just about anyone who can write a check or trade a list.

I don’t mind petitions sometimes they can do some good. But I think they treat people as stupid when they cleverly, and sometimes ham handedly, disguise them as something that will political impact when it’s really all about the money.

Why not just call it a “membership” building effort? At least that way one knows what they are gtting into up front.

I understand your concerns, but you don't have to "sign up" at that site. Further, the way it's set up all the site provides is a form letter (which I plan to modify) and send it to your own representative.

Sure it's work, but nothing gets their attention like volume of citizens contacting them, even if they ignore the letter.

To make things easier, this site can provide you with your representative's mailing and email addresses.

What have we got to lose other than a few minutes?

Of course they don't care; but they are stonewalling, whistling past the graveyard, keeping up a happy face, repeating over and over the opposite of what the majority of Americans want.

Just last night, a smiling "happy" Nancy Pelosy delivered lies with a straight face that was scary:

"We have heard the American people," she began, "And what they want..."

"What they want is to control the insurance companies. "Can you believe that those companies will not insure people with pre-existing conditions? That's despicable!"

After a stunned silence I shouted at the TV...

"That's not insurance, you moron! That's welfare!"

Anyone can look up the definition of insurance. Insurance has never been and can never be a means to guard against losses after they occur!

And then there's the flu debacle. Can you believe that for the first time in memory, seasonal flu vaccines are unavailable nationwide?

Can you believe these criminal incompetents want to take over our entire health system?
