I’m aware that Islam is more than just a religion, and its beliefs are incompatible with American-style liberty. Nevertheless, the rhetoric here is over the top. I shouldn’t even have to write this, but there are many peaceful, productive American Muslims.
Some of you are willing to condemn the whole lot of them because a few (a very small percentage) of them take the Koran literally and commit acts of violence. Plus, I think you are ignoring the practicalities of identifying and deporting anyone based solely on their professed religion. Just deport anyone who claims to be Muslim? Evil doesn’t justify more evil.
No American has the right to take another American’s rights away simply because they don’t like them.
