Mexican farm leader, 14 others shot to death in northern Mexico

MEXICO CITY — The leader of a Mexican farmworkers' organization and 14 other people were killed in a mass shooting in the northern Mexico state of Sonora...

Sonora prosecutors' spokesman Jose Larrinaga said the victims include farm leader Margarito Montes, 10 other men, one woman and three minors. Most were believed to be Montes' relatives or employees.

Larrinaga said the victims' bullet-ridden bodies were found on a roadside near a farm Friday. The killers apparently used assault rifles, the sort of weapon favored by Mexico's drug gangs....

Montes was the leader of the General Popular Union of Workers and Farmers, which claims tens of thousands of members, mostly in southern Mexico. Local news media reported that Montes had led peasant and squatters' movements involved in land seizures and that his group has sometimes had violent clashes with rival claimants to land.

Montes' group is an affiliate of the nationwide Permanent Agrarian Congress, which said Montes was ambushed by a gang of gunmen near his home.

It issued a statement calling his killing "a cowardly assassination," and suggested it could have been related to land disputes.

The group said it "regrets .... that in the 21st-century, land disputes are still being settled with gunfire" and demanded authorities catch and punish the killers.

In the southern state of Guerrero on Saturday, state police reported assailants tossed two grenades at a police guard station at a toll booth in the resort of Acapulco.

Assailants also fired assault rifles and tossed two grenades at a police station in the nearby town of Tecpan de Galeana. Some damage but no injuries were reported in the attacks.

State police also reported finding nine banners strung up in towns along the coast near Acapulco with messages relating to organized crime gangs.

With only days remaining until Congressman Luis Guitierez files his Comprehensive Amnesty legislation, the people are organizing and preparing Tea Parties Against Amnesty to be held across America on November 14!

The Tea Party Against Amnesty effort is being organized at www.AgainstAmnesty.com

AMNESTY....What does 20 million people actually look like? Do you realize if this AMNESTY happens we are in effect creating the equivilent of adding over 17 more states to this country? And that’s not even considering the chain migration that is in every amnesty bill or the millions of illegal alien anchor babies intent on carrying out the terror of their Mexican drug cartels.

Please look at what giving amnesty to as many as 20,000,000 illegal alien foreign nationals actually represents. More than the population and infrastructure of 16 states and DC! (see map)

According to the 2000 census, 18,785,867 is the total populations combined of Wyoming, Dist. of Columbia, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Idaho, Nebraska, West Virginia, New Mexico and Nevada. THINK about that! http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/search?q=what+does+amnesty+look+like

To quote Gerald Celente: When people lose everything, and have nothing to lose, they lose it.

This can’t be true because Mexico has MUCH stricter gun laws than the US and according to anti-gunners, stricter gun laws means less crime.

Thank you for the link, AuntB. This is another battle we need to unite for and fight against and it will be a big one. However, the elections yesterday in VA and especially NJ give me hope.

Regards

Anyone planning on visiting Acapulco this year?

one one side of the border Cesar Chavez can exercise free speech become a revered figure, while on this other side his counterpart is shot execution style.

Ask about that next time you see some pro-amnesty mob running around waving Mexican flags

Yea. Land dispute. Right.

I know I have always settled the location of a fence with automatic rifle fire and hand grenades.

Yep.

I wonder what the “methodology” will be to determine the location of the fence on the US Mexican border… when the Mexicans start to “enforce” a border that is up around Colorado and Utah?

Folks think they won’t try it; folks are in for some BIG hurt. The Mexican cartels are machine gunning their own people over dope.

What do folks thing they will do to the “evil white man” over control of 8-9 States?

Terry Anderson was discussing Chavez on his show the other night. Chavez used to carry a roll of dimes to call the border patrol on illegal aliens. He knew they harmed the legal Mexican Americans.

November 14 Rally (Beeville, Texas)

The rally will begin at 9:30 AM.

Tea Party Patriots:

We will have a Tea Party Patriot Rally at the Memorial site next door to Mr. Hinojosa’s office on November 14, 2009. If there is overflow, we will go next door to Courthouse steps (we already got the okay from the Commissioner’s court to do so). Our guest speaker will be John Caldwell from Goliad.

He is 84 years young, a pilot instructor, flew 38 combat missions in Korea, flew unarmed helicopter in that campaign and is credited with 3 behind the scenes rescue missions in Korea. He served 28 years in the Air Force and was a combat pilot. He also served 2 years as a test pilot.
