Yes, very early. I don’t believe the Bible was written yet in relative terms.
Probably just a guestimate at tis point also, unless radio carbon testing was done, but that usually takes a while.
I get the impression that the island was maybe in a caldera from a previous volcanoe, and sunk due to an eruption or a lava flow partially filled the lake causing the waters to rise.
The article is going to create a lot of interest, so I’m sure we will be hearing more. If the government can provide security, maybe they’ll even open it up to larger groups.
