Fred would give the right balance of experince to Palin and he would be great at handling the ‘dirty’ work that VP’s often do for the President. He would work well with congress and keeping the Republicans there in line as well. And he be a reassuring back-up to Palin as SMCC1 put it:
“I think people may want an old, “grandpa”-ish guy after the effeminate man-child that is Obama.” No they might not want him to lead, but they want him there to ‘grab the wheel’ when SHTF.
I’d rather Bachman lest Thompson fall asleep as it seemed in the last campaign.
