Using obviously false statistics Democrats aiming to punish Red States that prohibit Gay adoptions
The Collins Report ^ | October 23, 2009 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Democrat Pete Stark, who told a town hall questioner “I wouldn’t dignify you by peeing on your leg, it wouldn’t be worth wasting the urine” has proposed a new bill to punish Red States for daring to prohibit adoptions by gays.

Not surprisingly, Stark’s bill, “Every Child Deserves a Family Act” is built on a lie.

The bill would withhold federal welfare funding from any state the Gay lobby doesn’t like.

Its immediate targets are Utah, Nebraska Florida, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

Where did Stark’s data come from?

Stark’s bill says, “A report from the Evan B. Donaldson Institute found that an additional 2,000,000 gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals are interested in adoption.”

The Evan B. Donaldson Institute’s Director of External Relations is Laura James.

Her biography brags she’s “Development Director for GLSEN, the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network, a national organization working to create safe schools for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students, staff, and families..”

As the “Director of External Relations” it’s quite probable Ms. James had a lot to do with the preparation of the Institute’s report which was dutifully parroted in Stark’s bill.

Simple math proves the lie

The 2000 Census counted 281.4 million Americans and 1.4 million domestically adopted children meaning just .05% of Americans adopted a child.

The commonly accepted percentage of homosexuals in America is 1 to 3%. Even using 3% means there are nine million homosexuals in our country. Simple “off the top of your head” calculation tells us saying 2 million “gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals are interested in adoption” is a lie. That would mean fully 22% of Gays are interested in adopting children.

Using Stark’s lie means homosexuals want to adopt at a rate roughly 2200% HIGHER than the general population.

Simple calculation tells us the truth.

No surprise there.

They can’t breed, so they need to recruit.

Anyone who is for Gay adoption is no better than a child abuser. Just wait until these poor kids grow up....

So, let me get this straight. If a red state won’t allow homos to adopt the won’t get money to fund welfare. Ok! A twofer!! First lose the gay groomers and then expaIn to your welfare cases “you can’t get any money. You have to go to a homo state. A local charity is helping by giving bus tickets to California this month”. LOL. Where do I sign up?

Agree, call their bluff. If they follow through, just give all your welfare recipients a one-way bus ticket to Oz. I would imagine that blue states would implode. By all means, lets have two Americas - the free America and the statist America. Within one generation the statists will collapse.

What you said.

That was my first thought, too. Where’s the downside?

Pete Stark has been a bonafide psychotic for the duration of his time in Congress, pretty near 4 decades now. If any Republican behaved as he did, let alone spoke to his constituents as he has, they’d be out on their ass before the next election.

Hey, sounds like a plan. Being in one of those naughty, narrow-minded red states, I’m all for it. I’ll donate tickets.
