There has been a sharp decline over the past year in the percentage of Americans who say there is solid evidence that global temperatures are rising, according to results of a new survey released today by The Pew Research Center for People and the Press. And fewer also see global warming as a very serious problem – 35% say that today, down from 44% in April 2008.

Pew’s latest national survey, conducted Sept. 30-Oct. 4 among 1,500 adults reached on cell phones and landlines, finds that 57% think there is solid evidence that the average temperature on earth has been getting warmer over the past few decades. In April 2008, 71% said there was solid evidence of rising global temperatures.

Over the same period, the survey found, there has been a comparable decline in the proportion of Americans who say global temperatures are rising as a result of human activity, such as burning fossil fuels. Just 36% say that currently, down from 47% last year.

In short, it appears more and more Americans believe a more appropriate term for the alarmism promoted by people like former Vice President Al Gore is “GLOBULL WARMING.”

Boo hoo. Poor Algore. His life's work is for naught. Americans are slowly waking up to reality. Really glad he lost in 2000.

Who cares about the darn planet being too warm, when we cannot pay for our home fuel bills ‘cause the idiots in D.C. keep raising taxes?

But he won a Noble Prize, and an Oscar! And he invented the Internet! He dresses in earth tones. Why, oh why are they dissing him?

His life's work is for naught.

No, not for naught. Algore has scammed millions from the suckers. And, as W.C Fields once said, "Never give a sucker an even break".

Exactly what I was thinking. Alot of people are hoping temperatures will stay warm so they don’t have to pay alot in heating bills.

Or put another - and more powerfully visual way - 65% now do not view gloBULL warming as a catastrophic problem

Harry's Reid's uber humiliating defeat in the Senate vote on "health care" put a smile on my face - they may see the same on cap & trade... If we get past those safely, it's all downhill for the Rats after that. No more clout and many of the Rats will not blindly obey Reid or the obamama - indeed, they may run the other way, seeing them as a liability to their own political hinders. (HI-nders)
