Wives can testify against husbands in England? He will sue the court because his crime was not adjudicated under Sharia law.

In a just world he would have collapsed at the crime scene from lead poisoning.

I believe even in the US there is an exception regarding spousal communications about a crime to be committed.

ROP at its best, again....

Guess they will never learn:

"But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not. So when they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground."

They can here too if they choose to do so, just can’t be forced.

Perhaps watching her daughter be murdered gave her enough backbone to stand up for her family finally.

He did it wrong. It's supposed to be a three part process:

1) "We did it for a show."
2) Vomit.
3) Collapse (if necessary).

No executions there. However I suspect that even executions wouldn’t be a deterrent to honor killings.

Isn’t just so Muslim to be stricken with a fit of the vapors and feign a faint in court? And the daughter-killer, did the article say he was a Kurd from Turkey or a Turd from ...?

45 minutes? Wow, she’s got a lot to say. Maybe he’s hoping someone will eliminate her before she has a chance to finish giving evidence?

Muslim fathers and uncles hate it when they don’t get first dibs on their daughters and neices.

Muslims being Muslim.
1. Parents married only one year older than their daughter.
2. Parents came to England to live on welfare, and so did.
3. Parents killed girl because her lover was a slightly different variety of Muslim.

“RAX, RAX! Give ‘em the axe!” Old high school cheer.

I am sure one of the old English headsman’s axes can be pressed into service for a couple of more swings.

There is also the small matter that the woman was “caught in adultery” and they brought her alone to Jesus; is adultery something that can be done alone? Where was the other perpetrator?

They can in the US as well but it has to be on a VOLUNTARY basis. The general rule is that a spouse cannot be FORCED to testify against a spouse. Force being the opperative word

He need not worry. Another Muslim will kill his wife for him. Just Muslims being Muslim.

I’ve heard restraint called many things but this takes
the cake.

Just think, if the press here had said,” Rodney King had
a fit and was helped to lie on the street by police
officers”, why there would have been no story at all...

>What did he write down on the ground?

I don’t know; it doesn’t say. But, often overlooked is that Jesus says to the woman to sin no more. The KJV of the verse, Jn 8:11, is:
She said, “No man, Lord.”
And Jesus said unto her, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

So it CERTAINLY isn’t as though he is condoning sin; in fact, that he says ‘neither do I condemn thee’ implies that he could; and, theologically-speaking, as God He had EVERY right to do so.

Nobody knows what he wrote, but I’m betting that those who were bent on stoning “saw” their own sin written there, based on their reaction to it.

I believe wives can testify against their husbands here also. It's just that here they can't be forced to testify against their husband.....they can if they so choose.

I doubt it because the British do not execute people. I suspect he had a fit because his wife got uppity and testified against him--something not allowed under Sharia "law"--and now he will have to kill her too!
