Unlike us, dogs see their Gods everytime they look at our faces. There are no purer souls than litle children and pets. I too find it hard to read stories of animal abuse and torture.

But then, similar things happen to little children, everyday, around the ocuntyr and world. And yes, those little children die loving the parents who abuse and kill them and society protects those murderers in the name of compassion.

As a species, if there is an involved higher power, His plan is mysterious because I am somewhat surprised we are allowed to continue

God's giving everyone ample time to convert. Here's three of our furry friends (we have five). I just got back from walking them to Mass where they wait for me leashed up to a bench. The smaller one has a huge white cross emblazoned on her chest. It also looks like an eagle. So people at Church get an extra kick out of her being there. Here's a terrific video called GoD and DoG.
