Thank you for saying that. Someone really raked me over the coals for saying that humans were more important than animals on one thread.

Unfortunately our society is headed away from the sacredness of human life and toward the elevation of animal life to almost an idol status.

For brave eyes who really want to see the sad truth:

Humans are more important. We are sentient beings who can create. Animals cannot.

God put us here as steward of the earth and gave us dominion over animals.

That means we have a responsibility to care for them and manage them.

It is because of our ingenuity and innate love for living things that we are able to bring Panda’s back from the brink of extinction.

I is because of our love we can push whales and dolphins back into to the ocean, saving their lives.

Animals cannot do any of this and they lack the ability of intention.

If we can care for animals, shouldn’t we also be concerned for babies and babies not yet born?

Humans aren’t more important than animals but people are drawn to causes for different reasons. I’ve had enough neglected and abused animals dumped on me that it’s deeply affected me. I have the room (15 acres) and the time to devote to God’s lesser creatures. It’s what I can do in my little corner of the world. Perhaps the work you do is more important but we all do what we can where we are and with the resources we have.
