I don’t think we want to be handing out Tamiflu like candy. Take it if you have the flu (however, many doctors are prescribing it prophylactically), but evidently flu can become resistent to it, just like bacteria can become resistant to antibiotics.
The dead kids in Texas are real. My own doctor told me Wednesday that the CDC is running out of Tamiflu and encouraging rationing. I don’t like what I am hearing and neither should you. Too many children are dying. No doubt that the Obama administration will try to use this health scare anyway they can, but it shouldn’t stop us from taking note of their very real FAILURES here in how they are dealing with it.

Won’t get the vaccine, won’t take Tamilflu. The Japanese version of our FDA might stop Tamilflu from being prescribed. I’ll look for the article, but it has been linked to serious mental issues including suicide.

So we just let children die? What I am telling you is that doctors are not even prescribing it to people who HAVE THE FLU unless they are sick enough to go to the hospital. That is what my doctor told me Wednesday. The CDC is rationing the stuff and advising doctors not to prescribe it. There is no reason for that when we have stockpiles of the stuff.
Is that a worldwide number? Thats not many, considering this flu has been around for a while..and notice, they never mention the circumstances in which these people died.
I have no plans to get this shot.
If people dont watch out what they put into their body, there might be a lot more of them dropping, after they get said shots.
Honestly- if I had kids this age I wouldn’t know WHAT to believe. I’ve read scientific findings saying get the vaccine- don’t get the vaccine- get the regular flu shot but not the swine shot- get the nasal mist, not the shot, don’t get any, get them all...use tamiflu...don’t use tamiflu.

Hey..tamaflu is not a cure all. My daughter took it last year and it made her deadly ill. Plus, it doesnt work the way people seem to think. It just shortens the illness by a day or two.
Every drug has side effects. Suit yourself, it’s your decision but if anyone in my family gets sick, I want the drug. People in Texas are dropping like flies. I heard on the radio this morning that another child has died here. I don’t care what anyone says..the normal flu does not kill this many children every year.

Dittos! I probably would be leary of the vaccine but what is pissing me off is the fact that they are rationing Tamiflu when we have stockpiles of the stuff that Obama could release. Not only are they falling short on the so called vaccine...they are rationing the treatment drug.That’s not right!
Can you post data? You keep writing “dropping like flies”. So far, the swine flu has not killed as many people as the regular flu. Also, if you look at stats from the American Lung Association, you will see that their numbers for flu deaths are much lower than the CDC’s. The CDC includes in their flu death data people who died with the flu as a secondary or tertiary infection.
Instead of living in a panic state, why dont you research this flu. Do you know the reason why some people are dying? I would bet not.
The flu is mild in most cases and isnt what is killing people. The people are dying from a form of bacterial, pneumonia...and they arent getting to hospitals on time.
When you get this flu, you get fever, cough, possible sore throat, body aches, possible diarhhea.
When the flu begins to leave, the fever will go away..and in most cases, thats it. But, in some cases, after being gone, the fever spikes. This is an indication of the pneumonia and you need to get to an emergency room. Those who arent..are those who are dying.
I read this in several articles.
So, I suggest you dont just read these sensational, news selling, comments, and go into a panic. Start looking for articles on your own.
Why was she taking Tamiflu? Perhaps she was deadly ill because she was sick with the flu? From what I have read, Tamiflu needs to be started within the first 48 hours from onset of symptoms to be effective. Glad your daughter is ok.

No..she was taking it for what was either the flu or a very nasty cold. The doctor gave it to her and it made her very sick. When she stopped..she was fine.
She probably got it pretty soon after she became sick, because she has an immune system disorder, so doesnt wait before she sees a doctor.
This stuff only shortens the length of the illness.
I don’t believe they are testing everyone that has died from this flu first of all. You can do your own search. Just google h1n1 deaths in Texas. We have had about 5 deaths of children in the DFW area in the past few weeks and more deaths of adults. One death today that they are not releasing info about yet, but are disinfecting the school that the child attended.
I’ve used tamiflu twice when I was exposed to flu from my children and husband. They all got really sick. By the time I actually got the tamiflu, I was just starting to be symptomatic. My fever didn’t go as high, I wasn’t sick as long, and I didn’t get a bad cough that lasted for weeks. I was probably totally over it in 3 days as compared to 2 weeks for the others.
DOn’t rely so much on Tamiflu ( which may or may not be really helpful) or the ‘vaccines’ for ‘flu’. Wash your hands, stay hydrated, get enough rest, and you will survive most of these ‘flu’ scares. The majority of the folks dying from this flu have other underlying conditions which have been exacerbated by the ‘flu’. So take a deep breath, relax, and realize that sometimes statistics have high sides as well as low sides. That 76 children ‘normally’ die in a flu season means that some years it has been far higher and other far lower.
And do any of these articles mention how soon these people saw doctors, or were admitted into a hospital. I read a couple of articles that people who did seek emergency help, were sent home, then died.
They never seem to give any details.
Ya know, it is very easy for someone to die over something like this because of their mistake, or those of their health care professionals.
When I was a kid, I knew a girl who had 7 children in her family. All of the kids but her, had a stomach virus, vommiting, cramps, etc.
The following week, this girl got the same thing, so they thought. It turned out, it wasnt that virus, it was her appendix. She died at 17 years old.
My mom used to tell me..believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see.
You cant trust the media when they leave parts out of their stories.

Yes they are testing everyone that has died from it. I just went to cdc.gov and found that info. The cdc data reports deaths of pneumonia and flu combined. 99% of all people tested for flu (dead or alive) have tested positive for swine flu. I suspect that what is happening is that swine flu is just one of the strains this year. The CDC reports are inaccurate because they don’t show data for those that die just from the flu. The people who die with the flu had other infections or illnesses first. I would like to know how many have died JUST from swine flu and from regular flu. The American Lung Association suggests that flu-only deaths are only in the hundreds each year.
Again, if you are going to make claims please include data. It makes your comments relevant.

That is from the manufacturer. Fact is children are given the MIST form of the vaccine so SHOULD NOT be given Tamiflu

Believe me, I don’t trust the media either, but the deaths are real. It’s also true that doctors are being told to ration Tamiflu. It’s just a preview of government run healthcare as far as I am concerned and I can’t believe more people are not in an uproar over this, when we have millions of doses stockpiled.

Exactly. It is not as if you have something that needs an antibiotic that will clear it up right away. It merely ‘lessens’ the disease process BUT it must be taken at first symptoms or is useless. Tamiful is NOT the answer

I am just wondering where the drugs are and why Obama’s government is rationing it while at the same time sending some of our doses of Tamiflu to other countries(yes that can also be googled). This is a preview of things to come if Obama and his marxist minions pass the government takeover of healthcare.

Nice. A stockpile from 2005. And how many does the government current;y have stockpiled? Do you understand NOTHING about medications? They lose effectiveness with time. Moreover, that ‘stockpile’ from 2005 was no doubt used WORLDWIDE long before 2007. So get some real proof.

I am not avoiding the shot because of the mercury. I just believe I dont need it.
Also for those who dont know..the mist contains live virus..the shots dont. I wouldnt take the mist.
But, these are just my personal opinions. Everyone should decide on their own, what to do about swine flu. Just read everything..not just the stuff that gets into main stream media.
And no I am not concerned that if I come down with influenza that I won’t get Taniflu. Have NEVER taken it. Have had influenza. Yeah you feel lousy. Life goes on ( or it doesn’t). Tamiflu is not CURATIVE. I have found that large doses of garlic and hot and sour soup tend to do the trick ( along with lots of vitamin C and vitamin D and zinc and rest).

Hey..do you have a doctor? How long does it take you to get seen? (And imagine how it will be under heathcare reform, you could probably triple the amount of time.)
Many times, if you arent dying..you cant get to see a doctor within the timeframe that you need the tamaflu anyway..unless they are prescribing over the phone. (Which would probably be the best idea, since you wont be there getting their entire waiting room sick).
No I think it was because the Germans have opted to give their troops a vaccine without adjuvants. They are concerned about side effects ( as are you)
You are absolutely right. They stopped counting cases, months ago..so we were told.
Ya know..all of these things are old news. If people had stayed on top of this from the beginning, and read things..they would know all of this.
I cant believe that at this late stage of the game, people are still running around panic stricken.
