I appreciate that you also see what's been bothering me about PRO football.

A long time ago there was a controversy around the Oakland Raiders, it could be condensed into "play the ball". There were suspicions that the Raiders, when faced with a quarterback they could not contain by playing the ball, received instructions to deliberately try to injure that quarterback during tackles and sacks, even if a penalty would be called. The target of the play was the opposing player, not the football.

Look where we are today.

Well said. I have no use for the NFL. It is filled with many scummy people that do not deserve my attention nor my dollars.

Bread and circuses.
Bread and circuses.

Watching pro-sports is a waste of my God-given time. I didn’t watch it before and I won’t watch it in the future.

I think most would agree that the NFL is more of liberal thing.

If I thought the nfl would notice or even care, I might consider not watching.

Boycotts only work when the company being boycotted actually cares about the customers. The nfl leadership doesn’t care and the colts owner doesn’t care, but some onwers might and some players probably do.

I won’t go to any games this year and I won’t by a jersey this year and when I do I won’t buy it from nfl.com. Oh, and I canceled my nfl field pass on nfl.com.

then you probably weren?t a huge fan anyway.

There may be something to that theory. I've been a Cowboys fan for a long time. I supported building the new stadium. But now I'm priced out of attending a game in the near future. In addition to that slap in the face to a loyal fan, I was disgusted to see the freak show of T.O. and Pacmac come to Dallas. Jerry is so desperate to win more super bowls that he is apparently willing to sacrifice the name "America's Team" to get them. I just think it's time for Jerry to give the team back to the fans by letting some else run it. So you're probably right about me, at this point anyway. NASCAR? It would depend upon the circumstances.

Rush is more valuable to me than the NFL. Both are entertaining, but Rush is far more informative and enlightening. The NFL ain’t necessary, so I leave it behind without any difficulty at all.

Good point, But I think the reason we are in our 9th year of the media lying about Pres. Bush, The war on terror and everything else that is critical to our survival on national TV is that they have never felt the heat. I wish we could demonstrate our collective power and rattle the corporate board rooms that keep funding these criminals.

That’s what makes this such a great country. You can chose. I’m sure there are hobbies of yours that I would find equally unfulfilling and deem “bread and circuses”...but for different reasons. I have discovered that everyone has their own priorities...their own “bread and circuses.”

Please don’t sully McCarthy’s name. He was right. He should be lauded as a hero. Don’t buy into the libtard rewritten version of history.

McCarthy wasn’t responsible for a single member of the Hollywood Ten being blacklisted or called before HUAC. Did you know that? He had nothing to do with HUAC, because McCarthy was a freshman Senator in 1947 - not a member of the House. McCarthy didn’t initiate his inquiry until 1950. He claimed there were communists serving in high positions in the government and he was right. The Venona Project proved just how right he was.

With this bunch of Marxist thugs taking over our government, we need to remember the lessons of Joe McCarthy. We need a patriot like him to call out these b@st@rds.

History has been rewritten enough!

Someone should start a website about real history

Boycott the NFL? No problem. Chasing after balls is fine exercise and mental stimulation for puppy dogs and children, but is that the best adults can do?

Take a positive stance on this too. Don’t go cold turkey if you’re a football fan, switch to college ball and let the NFL know that you’ve replaced them. They don’t believe their fans can live without football for more than a few days (if that), but they KNOW they can be replaced by their competition!

Yeah...fantasy football. The league I am in is made up of people in my unit...including the commander. It's a unit moral thing...but I enjoy it. It's good stuff when the Col gets creamed by an E-4.

And if you want to tease...I'm cool with that...but people on an internet forum don't know whether you are doing that...or being a jerk unless you add a /sarc or some other emoticon. ;-) <=Like that...
