Sounds Interesting, but not sure how it is going to handle high humidity

If you constructed a series of these rings, all surrounding a single point, would you have a Dyson Sphere?

I have a Dyson vacuum - the yellow one. Hands down the best vacuum I have ever owned.

>> the loop of the Dyson Air Multiplier “accelerates and amplifies” air, expelling 405 litres a second
[yawn] Big deal.
I have a *colon* that does that.

"We would argue that a fan that delivers air that you don't mind sitting in front of is much more ecological, healthier and more pleasant than the chest-chilling chill of air conditioning. I don't think so.

Box fan - $25
Dyson air multiplier - $300
I’ll go for the box fan.

Dyson's Latest: A Fan with No Blades British inventor James Dysoncreator of the bagless vacuum and air blade hand dryerhas devised a cooling fan that uses 98% less power than air conditioning
Well, duh. No compressor with freon to cool the air. Still, in a hot room, aren't you still just pushing warm air around like you would with an ordinary $13 box fan?

Nothing new here except the packaging. And, yes, there are blades.

It is in effect a centrifugal blower with an odd-shaped discharge.

On the Dyson drawing board: A car with no wheels, gets 10,000 miles to the gallon, costs 50 million dollars.

I saw a review in either gizmodo.com or engadget.com that this fan (which does have blades, just hidden in the base), doesn’t put out as much air as a conventional fan of the same size and is somewhat noisy. I’ll wait for more reviews before buying one.

Actually it looks fairly clever to me. Probaly will go for 24.95 at Walmart.

I’ll admit I didn’t read the article but a fan is not an air conditioner. If you need to actually lower the air temperature especially if it’s hot out, fan is not going to cut it. A rickshaw is probably more ecological than my car but odds are i’ll be late for work.
