She should follow Arlen Specter's lead. Just go...snowe!
sw
Absolutely....she never HAD any intentions to do other than that.
As ALL Socialists do, she invokes the "profit" sin as if making money is not something one should be doing.
She sees government as the be-all/end-all of earning power in the country.
EVERY ONE OF THESE ASSHATS who think people should be living on the backs of OTHERS' income should be lined up in front of a firing squad for Treason.
Snowe has to go! This bitch is CRAZY!
There is nothing wrong with profits, or bonuses, or corporate jets.
Unless you want a second or third rate economy.
Sen. Snowe: I dont believe the insurance industrys numbers on healthcare

Shes an idiot. Price Waterhouse Cooper did the study. Is she saying that they lied?
Sounds like she believes this “Reality Check: AHIP's "Study" Hard to Take Seriously,” as heard through the filter of media reports.

Exactly these bills only support the John Edwards types.
They make out lioke bandits.
Snowe will SELL HER VOTE to the highest bidder.
There is still a 50-50 chance she will vote NO in committee. She is going to marginalize herself on the floor if she votes YES in committee.
Insurance companies make big profits...so? Don’t those profits go back into the company for salaries? Is Will Ferrell correct in saying that insurance company executives have secret zoos in their back yards? Without profits companies go out of business. When companies go out of business people become unemployed. Are you listening Sen. Snowe?
Who’s numbers does she believe? The Congressional Budget Office?
We are doomed.
And Snowe has been repeatedly elected in a “closed primary” state... so what’s her excuse?
The WH has gotten to the Congressional Budget Office, but they can’t get to PwC, so they’ll just lie about them.
the insurance industry is making huge profits off peoples’ need for healthcare... OFF, OFF? First of all she needs to learn to speak properly.
“Insurance companies make big profits...so? Dont those profits go back into the company for salaries? “
I would think that profits are after salaries and such, but I see your point.
In the end, republicans will vote to pass this bill as well as cap and trade and another stimulus bill oh and lets not forget the illegal’s bill. Mark my words.
Since Baucus has admitted that the details are going to change, she is going to vote for something that most likely will not exist.
United Health Group (UNH) 2008 Revenue $81.186 billion, net earings $2.977 billion, 3.7%.
Health insurance profits are not the cost driver. The cost driver is technology which is saving lives and limbs which in the past would have been written off as lost. We have gone from the doctor saying "I'm sorry your heart is bothering you. You might have another few years if you rest and avoid excitment but there is nothing medical science can do to treat you." to "With an angioplasty or a bypass you should have 20 good years of life." With Obamacare we will be going to "I'm sorry your heart is bothering you. You might have another few years if you rest and avoid excitment but the government will not allow us to treat you."
Why is the fact that she will more than likely vote for the bill a shock? She will vote for this bill simply because she wants to continue the debate over reform. Unlike Harry Reid and others in the Dem leadership, Snowe does not support a government run option, but she wants to see how she can affect the final senate bill (negotiations among the Senate Finance, Budget and Health Committees). If the final senate bill (before a Conference Committee with the House Dem leadership) does in fact include a government run option, then I’m confident she will vote “no.” I’m no fan of her’s and I do not support her, but I believe this is what she’s thinking.
