Black Leaders Ignore Black-on-Black Crime. This article was written in light of the recent murder of the African-American, 16-year-old honor student in Chicago.

I know this article is almost a week old, but I am posting here in the event it was missed. It is an important article that sums up a good deal about how I feel as a black female residing in inner-city America. The real source of the problems in the black community is not racism, but the broken home which leads to a broken and disorganized community.

The real source of the problems in the black community is not racism, but the broken home which leads to a broken and disorganized community. Ala Moynihan. They villified him for telling the truth. Ironically, during the twenty years before the Civil Rights act. the wealth of the black community increased more than any comparable period in US history. The downside was that the one's growing up didn't realized this and blamed their parents for no providing as much as white parents did for their kids. Instead of using the chance to go to work, they depended on politicians to get things for them.

Anything worth having is worth working for.

Not only does that build self-esteem and self-respect, but it gives a person, regardless of color, a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Rather than asking or expecting the government for handouts, the minority communities should be asking to provide them with the tools necessary to get a good education and a decent job which would benefit them more in the long run rather than this constant playing of the victim of racism card all the time. That gets to be so tiresome.

Frankly, I'm not surprised.

Sadly, as the author pointed out in his column, this isn't the sort of thing that draws Race Hustlers like Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Rep. Maxine Waters, or Rep. Diane Watson to the cameras or microphones, since it isn't profitable, or divisive enough.

Rather than address the horrors of high crime rates in the Inner Cities, local, state, and nationally elected Democrat officials like to blame the more affluent and safer White communities for their problems; not only would intact families be part of the solution to these problems, but the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. On another post, a FReeper enlightened me to the fact that gun control laws passed by people like Senator Diane Feinstein and others have also been a factor in the countless deaths of Blacks and other non-Whites in inner cities.

Thank you for recognizing that and speaking up. THAT IS the problem in the Black community. I remember the day before the GOVERNMENT started REWARDING people to destroy their family structure.

There were black families with mothers, fathers and grandparents who cared about their children. There WAS a FAMILY STRUCTURE. It all ended with GOVERNMENT DEPENDENCE.

I know this is a struggle and the MSM will not listen but keep pounding away. You are completely correct in your analysis and many blacks agree with you but are afraid to speak out for fear of being called Uncle Tom. I know at least two and they have said that there is pressure upon them in black community to NOT tell the truth.

Don't let the LEFT deter you. It will be tough and they will attack you viciously and call you every name in the book. Don't let them intimidate you. Good Luck.

Gun control laws have their roots in racism and are still racist today. From the article; Balcks are 13% of the population, but make up 40% of murder victims.

I’d bet most of these victims live in dem strogholds with the most stringent gun control laws. These folks need to have the right to keep arms to defend themselves probably more than us out in flyover country.

Your statistics are off a bit. There are not 5x more whites murdered by blacks than opposite. There are more than 10X more whites murdered by blacks than the opposite. Go to the FBI crime statistics or just google the color of crime and you will find the official crime statistics. They are shocking and will not be reported by the MSM.

Some time back this topic came up on a local radio talk show. I got on the air and began to quote the statistics verbatim from the FBI statistics. They cut me off the air. They didn't want to broadcast the truth.

The reason the more left-leaning black leaders avoid the crime issue is because they can’t come up with an acceptable, to them, way to deal with it - other than to blame white society. They would prefer to look at African American criminals as victims rather than being culpable.

Gun control is another favorite of liberals, since it can be offerred as a solution to crime without dealing with the criminal.

I was being generous. However if you normalize the numbers, i.e. assume that the number of blacks and whites were equal and adjust the numbers accordingly, then you would find that whites are about 30 times more likely to be murdered by blacks than other whites.

If you further refine the numbers, you would find that young black men between 15 and 35 are by far the most violent individuals on earth. No matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t make them leave that habit back in Africa.

They DID leave it there. Slavery and Jim Crow didn’t hurt the black man near as much as the “Great” Society did. There was a little blip of civil rights recognition, at the end of which the black family had not seen better days in this continent, then the liberals had to go ruin it all with the soft bigotry of condescending welfare and lowered expectations. Black leaders also ignore this little tidbit but of course so does most everyone else.

In the 36,620 cases in which the victim of rape or sexual assault was black, 100 percent of the offenders were black, and 0.0 percent of the offenders were white. The table explains that 0.0 percent means that there were under 10 incidents nationally.

The table does not gives statistics for Hispanic victims and offenders. But the bottom line on interracial white/black and black/white rape is clear:

In the United States in 2005, 37,460 white females were sexually assaulted or raped by a black man, while between zero and ten black females were sexually assaulted or raped by a white man.

What this means is that every day in the United States, over one hundred white women are raped or sexually assaulted by a black man.
