Mo - neat!
We almost got to move there. Hubby was offered a job 2 years ago in the KC area. Turned it down :( I can’t blame him, though. It was a union job and one that he wasn’t thrilled about (trainer in a power plant). He thought he’d be stuck doing a repetitive job with little chance of moving up or getting to do something more interesting - he was probably right.
We tried to make it to the Ozarks on our trip, but had to be back to St Louis to fly out. It would’ve been a lot of driving in one day to go there and back, not much time to see it. Hopefully on another trip out, when we’re doing more searching for retirement places (or maybe sooner, if I have my way;)

But there's two GLs of Sector 2814... Don't tell Hal or John. What with Blackest Night going on, I'm trying to maintain a low profile.

Well I certainly hope you can make it here. It’s a very friendly state full of good people (of course some not so good) and the cost of living (at this point) is reasonable. Don’t know what’s going to happen; next year could be totally different but...we’ve had dem govs before and maintained a level of normalcy lol. It’s the fascist that is currently in Washington that’s causing major concerns.

That's good to know. Thank you for your kind reply. I guess I can stop worrying about my 7.62x54R softpoint stuff.
Gracias!

The usual caveats apply - need to store them in a cool, dry, dark place and sealing the primers with clear nail polish (etc) isn’t a bad idea at all.

Didnt the 1968 Gun Control Act require this for ammo on a national level?

Cali used to tax cars brought in from out of state. When you moved to Cali and brought your cars with you, they taxed you for the cars when you registered them. I knew it was illegal but who has the time and money to fight it, so I paid the tax. Several years later a lawyer sued Cali over the tax and got it repealed. And Cali paid back the money. Interstate commerce is the domain of the Feds, not the states. Your point about how well it is enforced is well made.

Only for mass sales to dealers, I believe. It does not require it for retail sales, other than establishing minimum ages for purchase. No tracking of retail sales.

We have some other investments here and a son still in school. When he graduates from high school we will be gone. We will be selling our home and moving into a rental that we own for a couple years.
We will be out of this state completely within three years paying as few taxes as possible along the way. I know of four different Docs who are leaving both Ca and medicine. What are they going to do when there is no one to pay taxes and no primary care physicians available to treat people. Many docs have decided that they just will not work for Obambat and socialized medicine. These are Primary care docs and there is a huge shortage of them already.

I can remember at one time people buying handgun ammo had to sign for it. Wasnt that also part of the 68 GCA?

No, that’s not in GCA68.
Sounds like a state restriction.
