No DOJ blog squad?

http://www.mainjustice.com/2009/10/01/justice-department-launches-new-web-site/

Well, check out the department’s new, glossy digs. Here’s the announcement — on the Justice Department’s blog — from Tracy Russo, the architect of the site and blogger outreach coordinator in the Office of Public Affairs:

Welcome to the new Justice.gov. If you’re a regular visitor to our site, you’ll notice some changes today. If you are joining us for the first time, welcome.

The Department of Justice launches Justice.gov today in an effort to increase openness and transparency in government. Utilizing a variety of online tools, we will be able to share news and information, not just on our own web site, but through popular social networks Twitter, YouTube and MySpace and Facebook. The Justice presence on these social networks will allow Americans to interact with the Department in entirely new ways.

The new Justice.gov has incorporated more multimedia than ever before. You’ll find a photo gallery and video library that will be regularly updated with new content from across the Department of Justice. And of course, The Justice Blog will be a hub of information for the Department.

We are all excited by these new opportunities. Today’s launch is just the first step towards creating the most open, accessible and transparent Justice Department possible. We welcome your feedback about the new site and your ideas for the future.

What this means is that the DOJ employees will have to start doing their blogging at home now, so that it is not so easy to trace their comments back to government computers (and hence government workers).

They’ve been caught.

We have investigated ourselves and found ourselves to be completely innocent of any wrong-doing.

Blog squad, or blog czar? Is there even a difference?

The DOJ has transmuted into The Ministry of Truth in one easy election. One must wonder how many “memory holes” they have active at this time and what that number will be when this administration finally, mercifully ends. And, I wonder too how that end will come and in what condition it will leave this once free republic, once the envy of the world. How many knots will they have tied themselves into while trying to combat and destroy truth and honor. And, will our brave service men and women still hold to that sacred mantra of duty, honor, country, or will they have, because of an entanglement of lies and half truths, completely forgotten it. One can only wonder and pray for an end that will restore our republic.

And a buch of government IP addies that happen to belong to the DOJ trolling websites is coincidental.. right?

I'm sure glad FR isn't a blog.

I never read blogs unless briefly tricked by a poster here into thinking the info is legit.

Why would O-boy need a blog squad when they have the state run media to do everything for him.

Okay what the heck. We just read their own words on the other thread. Maybe we need a free republic truth squad, with a truth squad forum, where all lies from govt are vetted. Nothing can be posted but their lies, and the TRUTH. No opinions or commentary. Aaargh...

Various conservative blogs are talking about the existence of a "blog squad" at the U.S. Justice Department>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ask yourself, how did they know what is being said on 'conservative blogs', and why does it matter enough to deny it? Haven't they got better things to do?

WE KNOW THEY ARE HERE!

Take it to the bank.

LOL
