DECATUR, AL -- Decatur police have arrested one suspect in a Sept. 11 gang-style shooting at Funland Park and are searching for a second suspect who is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Jose Luis Gonzalez, 19, was arrested Tuesday at the B&B Trailer Court on Modaus Road and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of attempted murder, three counts of second degree assault, shooting into an occupied vehicle and shooting into an occupied vehicle. He's being held in the Morgan County Jail on bonds totaling $400,000.
Police are still searching for Samuel Trejo Carbajal, 19, of Elkmont. Carbajal is 5-foot-4 and 160 pounds, and has been known to use the alias Antonio Guardado. He has short or no hair, police said, and usually keeps a mustache.
While he lives in Elkmont with his mother, he frequently visits Decatur and Athens and has access to several vehicles. His last known address was 25404 Vaughn St. in Elkmont.
Carbajal has owned assault rifles, police said, and has been known to affiliate with members of the Los Zetas, a well-known Mexican crime family. Police said it's unknown if Carbajal is a member of the cartel.
Carbajal should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Carbajal whereabouts should contact Sgt. Rick Archer of the Decatur Police Department at (256) 341-4647 or the Decatur Police front desk officer at (256) 341-4660.
On Sept. 11 at about 8:40 a.m., Decatur police responded to a shooting at Funland Park at 405 McGlathery St. in southeast Decatur. When police arrived, they found three men -- Abel Rodriguez, Saul Brito and Cesar Lopez -- all suffering from gunshot wounds.
The men told police they were in Rodriguez' truck leaving Funland Park when the truck was blocked by a gold-colored Cadillac.

That doesn’t sound very fun.
Gosh....that’s right near me. To be honest....I’ve been concentrating so much on national/world news I’ve neglected watching local.
Srsly.....Decatur has gone to h3ll and declining by the day. I’ve never seen so many ‘check into cash’ places concentrated on one stretch of highway.
More diversity = our strength.
North Alabama is one of the hardest hit by the Mexican invasion, from what I hear anyway.
Gee whiz, if only they were citizens and had healthcare, this wouldn’t have happened!
Pssssst Don't tell the Feds this or they might make them all legal to help us become more international!
