For all the talk about youth gun violence, this really highlights the fact that feral humans will kill eachother with whatever is handy.

Obama is through slumming. He used the ghetto and left.
The “One” cleaned up Altgeld Gardens in his community organizing days and then moved on to greener pastures. However, when he left, Whites, Hispanics, and Asians moved in and completely took over the “Gardens” which accounts for the miserable living conditions and homicides happening there.

And over which roach-ridden project they live in, to boot. It’s like the gangs, I’ll never understand how they come to the conclusion that which derelict ghetto you’re from is worth killing over. Who cares, you’re from the ghetto, that should be your first concern—to get out of it. But probably it’s a mercy the gang types don’t get out so they can keep it (their murder, mayhem and animalistic behavior) in the “hood”. I have no faith in gang types ever being anything but what they are already in their “territory”. I think I’d slit my wrists if al I had to care about was which ghetto I lived in.
But Derrion Albert was an innocent bystander, not a feral human. We can't forget about the mass of innocents who are caught in the clutches of the inner city culture of violence and squalor.

Reinstate the DRAFT. Put these thugs in the military for a min of 10 years on the front lines.
On edit: Feral humans killing each other and whoever happens to be near by.
WRONG. Do NOT put these animals with our honorable sons and daughters (husbands, wives, dads and moms) serving their country. These animals only deserve incarceration, whether in a razor wire topped compound or established prisons.
For generations we have poured money and advantage on these people and where has it led? When you appease or subsidize the violent, what do you get? More violence.

Military people are, for the most part, good people. Above average, and sometimes great.
We should treat rioters appropriately - with live ammunition, not tear gas and rubber bullets.
I have no problem with him being Afrocentric when he speaks the truth about African Americans and how they need to change their behaviors - I must have missed something else.
Now he's using the United States of America. Because in O'Nothing's eyes, it's nothing more than a ghetto to be remade in his image. Speaking metaphorically, we, the citizens are that innocent boy, the Muslim world are the gang bangers and the U.S. is O'Nothing's Altgeld Gardens.

Another irony here is that this is named for IL Democrat Gov. John Altgeld, a foreign-born Chicago Marxist from the late 19th century who successfully pushed to remake the Democrat party as a hard-left party. His Nirvana is now fully realized.
When you said, “African-Americans,” I hope that you were referring to people who were born in Africa. About 2/3 of Blacks, I know, dislike being called African-Americans. They know that, since a dictionary definition of “African” is “a resident of Africa,” an African-American must be anyone who was born in Africa, immigrated to the U.S., and became an American citizen. This definition includes a few races, so whether someone is an African-American can’t be determined by his or her skin color.
Nope - used the term in it’s general sense. But, I’d be happy to use a more correct nomenclature in the future.
I saw some post on HuffPo that blamed society as whole for this murder and broke it down into a list. Of course it started with Republican cutting “social programs”—because gang bangers are too tired to kill after Midnight Basketball—and continued to include everybody except the guy who actually swung the bat. I was surprised they didn’t blame “Big Timber” for giving them the means to commit murder with scrap lumber.
