WASHINGTON (CNN) -- After a heady week on a high-stakes world stage, President Obama returned to America's messiest political mosh pit -- the health care debate.

Speaking before the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual dinner on Saturday night, Obama prescribed the same contentious policy pill he's embraced since taking office: health care reform and his intention to "get it done this year." ... "We have been waiting for health reform since the days of Teddy Roosevelt, we've been waiting since the days of Harry Truman. We've been waiting since Johnson and Nixon and Clinton. We cannot wait any longer."

I thought it was strange that he sites "the days of Teddy Roosevelt", as the time period of his presidency coincides with the rise of Bolshevism, and the development of Marxism-Leninism.

Isn’t citing Nixon positively heresy for liberals?

Isn’t citing Nixon positively heresy for liberals?

LBJ was a liberal....Bill Clinton was a Liberal.

zer0bama is a Stalinist/Marxist/Fascist...

and citing anyone that will help him achieve his Stateist goals is of little importance to him whether they fit his Marxist model....he has no honor and will use whatever he can to make slaves of the state out of the American people.

BTW...Nixon was a moderate Republican and to a degree left of center on economic issues...

Yep, turn your life and the lives of everyone you hold dear, over to this:

Under Obama’s Health Care: If you Don’t Sign up, You’ll be Taxed AND Go to Jail?

Let's see Obama spin this one!

By now readers may be aware that the health care bill proposed by Democrats creates an individual mandate which requires all Americans to buy health insurance (illegal aliens will still be able to get their care free).

Even though then Sen. Obama campaigned for office against a mandate, he's on record supporting one now and claiming that it does not constitute a tax even though just about everyone else concedes it is a tax.

Republicans in the U.S. Senate tried to get the individual mandate removed from the bill Democrats are pushing rapidly through the Senate Finance Committee but their amendment was voted down on a largely party line vote.

What readers may not be aware of is the penalty for not buying insurance is more than a fine. It may also include jail time. Senator John Ensign (R-NV) questioned Senate Finance Committee Chief of Staff Thomas Barthold on the issue of penalties and got a handwritten response:

EDITORIAL: No, You Can't Read the Legislation

Deja vu. What we are witnissing today is a replica of the French Parliament of the late nineteen thirties when senators dithered, supped at magnificent banquets and played games with mistresses, while the European world was collapsing around them.

The “Congressional Black Caucus” are a bunch of racist communists.

Perhaps the current phony president can be held in check until 2012, but even a defeated, one-term president can be a perpetual pain in the neck as evidenced by the dementia-ridden Jimmy Carter.

The muddled American election process has dealt this nation a cruel blow in the person of Obama and one that America may never completely recover.

There could be a complete recover if the true enemy could be emasculated. Make no mistake. That enemy is Congress and a central government.

Teddy would be thoroughly appalled and enraged if he were alive today and saw what had become of his country and the U.S. government.

The racist Obama makes a speech at the Congressional Black caucus Dinner. If George Bush had played Golf at a White Only Country Club they would have ripped him to shreds, and yet this solely black Club of black politicians is allowed to flourish.

The days of Teddy Roosevelt also ushered in the era of progressivism. If fact after leaving office the first time Roosevelt ran on the Bull Moose Party ticket as a third party candidate in 1912. He is the only third party candidate in American history to have finished second (ahead of the Republican Howard Taft, and behind the Democrat Woodrow Wilson).

Progressive=Progre$$ive

It’s because they are a downtrodden minority—just ask the Clintons. Actually, they have become bigots and very vocal-—no state run media discusses this.

From my email:

“Call Finance Committee Senators today and urge them to support Sen. Hatch amendments to exclude abortion funding & protect conscience rights for health workers.

Senate Abortion Vote Tuesday—Your Call Can Help
September 25, 2009 | Share with Friends

Members of the U.S. Senate Financial Services Committee will be voting NEXT TUESDAY on amendments to keep abortion coverage out of Sen. Max Baucus’s (D-Mont.) health care bill. Sen. Baucus’s health care bill explicitly includes abortion and would subsidize health plans that cover all elective abortions. Such subsidies for abortion goes well beyond the status quo of preventing federal funds either from paying for abortion or subsidizing plans that covers abortion as is prevented under current laws governing Medicaid, the Federal Employee Health Benefits Plan, and the State Children’s Health Insurance Plan.

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) has introduced several amendments that would prevent government funding for abortion and would protect current conscience laws for health workers. Please call these key Senators today and urge them to support Sen. Hatch’s amendments to keep government funded abortions out of the Baucus bill:

Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.): 202-224-5521
Sen. Thomas Carper (D-Del.): 202-224-2441
Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.): 202-224-2043
Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.): 202-224-4843
Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.): 202-224-5274
Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine): 202-224-5344
Sincerely,

Tony Perkins
President”
