Skip to comments.Goldman Sachs was Barack Obama's "No. 1 private contributor."

Obama made a big deal during the election that he didn't accept money from federal political action committees or lobbyists.
But laws require individuals to disclose their occupation and their employer when they donate to federal political candidates. We checked with the Center for Responsive Politics, a well-respected nonpartisan group that specializes in analyzing campaign data. Their numbers include contributions from employees and their immediate families.
Their analysis of the 2008 presidential campaign found that University of California employees were Obama's top donor, giving a collective $1.6 million. That system is run by the state of California, and hence is a public employer.
No. 2 was Goldman Sachs. Goldman employees gave Obama $994,795.
Obama's next biggest donors were the employees of Harvard University, Microsoft, Google, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Time Warner, the law firm Sidley Austin, and Stanford University. View Obama's complete list and amounts here. Incidentally, Goldman Sachs ranked No.4 on John McCain's list of employee contributions, at $230,095.

This would not be reported in the United States.
Why? Ask David Gregory’s wife.
Gosh! I am sure OBOZO wouldn’t have let that affect his “Supreme Judgmment” when selecting the Financial Courses of His Actions!.../s/

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
I’m SHOCKED! SHOCKED, I tells ya! *SPIT*
This was made early in the election by an someone very talented, he got tired of his youtube account getting deleted (so did I), his vids went poof.
But I found one he did here.
BTW, welcome to FR.
The next 1,211 days are going to be sweeeeeeet. It won’t be long before all of this is covered by the media.
I know, I’m dreamin’, but really; they ‘invented’ this guy, they’re gonna eventually take him down. They have to. No one is buying their advertising, and they are desperate for revenue. Destroying 0bama would sell a lot of advertising in remaining newspapers, magazines and on TV. Follow the money! :)
Who got bailed out?
You can bet Michael Moore left this little factlet out of his new movie.
All he needs are the Lett riflemen and he has the same coalition which brought down Russia in 1917
” Obama’s next biggest donors were the employees of ...Microsoft ...
That’s it . I’m definitely switching to a MAC ! I know I know Jobs is a lib , too ...
The St Petersberg Times is the biggest left leaning rag; if the idea is socialist, raises taxes, or takes control from the individual they are for it.
I’m surprised they even took this up. The fact they couldn’t argue this away shows how true it is. If they could have figured a way to cover this up, they would have.
If they can’t find a left leaning story, they run a leftist editorial as a headline story, often a skewed poll or such.
See Norman Podhoretz’ latest book.
The St. Petersburg Times is really late to the party, but at least they’re reporting it. This was well known by Freepers and the info was available at opensecrets.org long before the election.
that was a wikipedia surprise....
Now, who can confirm the name of the spouse for David Gregory....
Hank Paulson’s Goldman-Sachs? Nah! Can’t be!
And guess who is going to get a commission trading the carbon credits on the open market? Goldman Sachs.
