Critics Assail Obama's 'Safe Schools' Czar, (promotes homosexuality/hid pedophilia)

President Obama's "safe schools czar" is a former schoolteacher who has advocated promoting homosexuality in schools, written about his past drug abuse, expressed his contempt for religion and detailed an incident in which he did not report an underage student who told him he was having sex with older men.

"What had [God] done for me, other than make me feel shame and guilt? Squat. Screw you, buddy -- I don't need you around anymore, I decided.

"The Baptist Church had left me only a legacy of self-hatred, shame, and disappointment, and I wanted no more of it or its Father. The long erosion of my faith was now complete, and I, for many years, reacted violently to anyone who professed any kind of religion. Decades passed before I opened a Bible again."

wow. But no surprise. More evidence of the utter calamitous condition the country is in because conservatives didn't have their act together during last presidential election,...losing supreme court possibilities...etc.

That’s great - I have had to go through multiple background investigations, have multiple life style polygraphs, and have my life filed through just to earn and maintain a top secret clearance - but this scumbag gets a federal position because he’s everything the rest of us are not and the current illegal administration has seized power!

Even if you leave out most of it, this is a really bad idea. He's gay? A lot of people are. He's not into religion? A lot of people aren't. He drank and did drugs? A lot of us did in college and high school. Someone in his association used piss poor judgment and talked about something completely inappropriate? We've all worked or been associated with idiots.

Even if you ignore all that, you're still left with something you can't ignore. The man is supposed to be a Safe Schools official. He was a teacher, and he knew that a 15 year old kid went to Boston on a school night. He met a stranger in a bus station bathroom, went home with him, and had sex with a pedophile. He knew about it, and didn't tell anyone. How the hell is that even remotely safe or ethical? That one fact alone should be enough to blackball him, and if the statute of limitations wasn't out, bring charges against him.

This is what happens when the government is given too much power. They can use and abuse the citizens without consequence.

This country needs school choice more now than ever before. The Republicans had their chance to save the kids and blew it.

Home schooling is a lot easier than most people realize, too. Competing with government schools is no problem. If your kid can read, you've already surpassed the government schools test scores.
Most people also don't realize they're actually losing money when both parents work. Besides removing all the additional expenses associated with a second job, the tax rate gets cut in half. More families would save money if one spouse stayed home with the kids.

Americans must stop supporting government schools. Nothing good comes from them.
