Mitt Romney is an empty suit. He puts his finger up and sees which way the political winds are blowing, then takes a position. Mitt signed MassCare (with Ted Kennedy no less in the background smiling about it) into existence in 2006, and it has been a proven failure.
There are plenty of stories and analyses out there describing the abject failure that MassCare is. The essential storyline is that MassCare is basically Obamacare in one state. That state has gone bankrupt trying to give everyone there universal coverage, and the result of putting so many more people into the system (whether they want to be in it or not) is much longer wait times and poorer quality care due to rationing of resources.
Shocker! No way! Who could have predicted this outcome!?!
Mitt still defends this pig of a program as being a real success and defends it to this very day. He calls it a model for national healthcare.
Right from the Mitt's mouth. If this is the model for national healthcare, first: our predictions of its failure will come true; and 2, given what's happened in Massachusetts, why bankrupt the country and tank the quality of everyone's healthcare?

John Boner would get smoked in a general election. He comes off as a cocky, pompous pr*ck like Romney. Not to mention he’s got a ton of corruption skeletons in his closet from Abramoff to the trust fund cashout. Boner is the kind of Republican that got America to hate Republicans. Regardless, if/when Mrs. Palin declares her intention to seek the Presidency the primaries will be but a formality as she'll sweep them all. Then, the grand lady of Alaska will go on to not only defeat Obama but do so with Reagan-like electoral numbers.
Did you get those rose collored glasses on sale? Let’s face it, Sarah Palin is the mirror universe version of Obama (sans beard, of course). She’ll have 30-35% rabid support who worship the ground she walks on, but she’ll never have broad support. Mostly due to the media, and the RINO patrol, but I don’t know if she can reform that image.

What’s so hard to understand? She’s to the right what Obama is to the left. Obama managed to fool enough of the center to win 53% of the vote. Will she be able to sway enough people to win in 2012? Only time will tell.
That is the question isn’t it. As of right now I don’t think based on those I know that she has the centrist appeal. That could very well change over the course of a long campaign as more and more people are able to get to know her.
Honestly, I don’t know enough about her positions and concrete plans. The persona and charisma is great, but what separated Reagan from other charismatic politicians is that he had the ideaology and knowledge to mix substance with style. I don’t know if Palin has that intricate knowledge yet.
