BUFFALO, N.Y. — A man accused of beheading his wife at the television station they founded to counter stereotypes of Muslims is likely to claim emotional distress was behind the killing in hopes of avoiding a murder conviction.
Muzzammil Hassan, 45, is scheduled to be tried in January on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan. A psychiatric defense would allow jurors to find him guilty of a lesser charge of manslaughter, according to Hassan’s attorney, who made his plans known during a pretrial conference Friday.
“Extreme emotional disturbance is not an insanity defense,” attorney James Harrington said afterward. “It’s related to the state of mind of the person at the time.”

He should just go for justifiable homicide. What red-blooded muslim male wouldn’t have done the same thing.
Hmmmm... Did she die? After reading the story about the Mullah who died after he was shot TWICE in the head, you’ve got to ask.
And of course our tax dollars are probably paying for his defense (probably Muslim lawyers) for cutting his wife’s head off...

He was stressed out because he realized that he was 45 years old and still hadn’t killed anybody. How would he explain this to the moon god? A nail-biter for sure, keep you up at night.
Now, what would constitute FIRST-degree murder in New York?
Second degree murder for chopping his wife’s head off? You don’t chop heads off unexpectedly; that is something you premeditate. I’m so glad I don’t live in New York!

Most muslims ARE insane!
Muslims have an accepted notion that faking insanity is a perfectly justifiable way to “get over” with the infidels. The trouble is, at least in the US, that we have been dealing with real and fake psychos for so long that we make movies about them. An insanity defense in a US court usually only has a chance if there is a powerful external factor involved, like a psychoactive drug.
Otherwise, it is an almost guaranteed conviction. And, if it ticks off the judge, the maximum sentence. Let him ponder his insanity on death row.
