It was a post-debate interview, which Deeds did not do well in. He is clearly not comfortable in a leadership role.

Here is the youtube clip:

I hope so- the Deeds ads being released now painting McDonnell as a caveman toward women (”taking us back to the Dark Ages”), are absolutely insultingly disgusting. Can't imagine WHO with half a brain would be swayed by that drivel. But then, NoVa did vote for obama..

If I didn’t know better I would think that Deeds had hired the same idiot who came up with the Kaine-Hitler ads for Kilgore.

Allow me to try.

DEEDS>> “Yes I said I’m not going to raise taxes, and I mean it! I am NOT going to raise THOSE taxes. THESE taxes here, however, I may need to raise. Because we WILL pay for transportation! We MUST pay for transportation! But I’m not going to raise THOSE taxes. Just like I said. I think I’m being very clear about this. But everything is on the table...”

Repeat as required.

Deeds doesn’t have a chance because ACORN has been caught “ridin’ dirty” and they can’t help him steal the election.

So we can summarize this with three words: Governor Bob McDonnell

Re; Deeds ad running this morning on WMAL/ABC during Andy and Grandy

Seriously, I haven’t heard such a stupid childish political ad, perhaps ever. Sounds like it was written by DU.
“McDonnell is against working women”
“McDonnell is against daycare because it helps working women”

Doesn’t McDonnell have 3 grown daughters .... including one who is an Army veteran who SERVED IN IRAQ?

Deeds Hounded by the Press Afterwards -- Frequently visibly angry and often rattled, Democratic candidate for governor Creigh Deeds entered the pivotal debate hosted by the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce and still did not unveil a transportation plan with any substance whatsoever. At one point Deeds contradicted himself on tax increases within the space of a few words. Deeds spouted buzzwords such as “long-term” and “statewide,” but offered nothing more than a thin promise to come up with a plan if he is elected and dropped broad hints that he would raise taxes to accomplish it.

“No, I'm not going to raise taxes, but I'm going to sign a transportation plan that raises new revenue,” Deeds said in an amazing display of disagreeing with himself.

“Every funding mechanism possible is on the table,” Deeds said at one point, again indicating that he would raise gasoline taxes to pay for an as-yet-to-written wish list for roads.

Often returning to his detailed plan to improve transportation in Virginia without raising taxes, McDonnell also talked about creating jobs and improving opportunities for all Virginians.

The real story of the debate, however, was Deeds’ glaring pledge to raise taxes, while trying to play a game of semantics – pledging not to raise “general fund” taxes, while obviously leaving out that the gasoline tax goes into the Transportation Trust Fund. At one point while the press had Deeds on the ropes, he lost his cool and snapped at a reporter, “I think I made myself clear, young lady.”

Election is this November?

Wish it was sooner to put more pressure on rats to abandon their socialism.
