Fox News poll: Obama’s credibility on health care pretty much shot
Hot Air ^ | SEPTEMBER 17, 2009 | ALLAHPUNDIT

Not the worst numbers he’s had this summer, but to see this much skepticism on this many aspects of ObamaCare this late in the game — and after his Beyond Thunderdome speech to Congress — is simply devastating. I’m going to tick them off rapid fire here while saving the punchline for the end.

Do you favor/oppose the current plan: -10 (38/48, up from 34/49 last month)

Will seniors be better/worse off under the plan: -11 (23/34)

Will your family be better/worse off: -14 (22/36)

Do you prefer ObamaCare/the current system: -9 (37/46)

Do you favor/oppose requiring everyone to buy insurance: -12 (42/54)

Would you want coverage from ObamaCare/private insurance if you were seriously ill: -42 (20/62 overall, 35/40 among Dems)

Is it possible/not possible that ObamaCare won’t add a dime to the deficit: -39 (28/67)

Under ObamaCare, will you be able to keep your plan/be forced to make changes: -24 (36/60)

Do you think the public option would not/would put private insurers out of business: -11 (41/52)

And now the punchline: The sample was 42% Democrat, 31% Republican, and 21% Independent. Even in a poll where respondents tilt blue, The One can’t do better than negatives across the board. (The partisan gap in last month’s sample was much narrower, which may help explain why Republicans actually lost five points in the generic ballot in this new one.)

Pinocchio-bama has lied too many times. Even for a politician, he is an unusually frequent liar.

If you need care and must stand in line for care and the situation becomes terminal as a result, is killing a random democrat justifiable homicide?

Is this question too harsh?

Trying to sway public opinion to support a failed plan, by skewing the numbers. I would not be surprised if they were to stop breaking it down by parties one day soon, to try and prop up their guy even more, and talk to democrats only.

Brother, I ask myself this question or something similar pretty nearly every day.

I confess I *am* surprised to see it coming from you.

But wait, what happened? Why that bastion of news reliability said that President Soetoro’s speech sent his health car numbers up 12%.

“If you need care and must stand in line for care and the situation becomes terminal as a result, is killing a random democrat justifiable homicide?”

Apparently only if you’re an employee of ACORN.

Were the dead, illegal, felons and homeless also polled with ACORN community outreaches?

Even for a politician, he is an unusually frequent liar.

I'll have to disagree with you, but I wish it were for a different reason.

I don't think Obama is really a liar. I think he actually believes much of what he says, and it's very, very scary.

I think he is so far into the socialist/statist mindset that he really believes only government can do things well - that there is so much waste, fraud, and abuse in corporations that if the annointed government bureaucrats (like himself) were just running things they (he) could provide better health care to more people for less money.

And I think he believes that when the government runs everything, the economy and revenues will grow so fast that all this spending can be covered without tax rate increases.

And, since he never did anything in the Senate, I think he believes that those corrupt, partisan Democrats will give him his miracle without loading it down with pork to buy votes. And that people are just concerned because they (we) don't understand how all the messy details will be transformed and only the wonderful things will be in the bill he actually signs.

So it's someone else who is 'lying' when they say that the bill will require free health care for illegal aliens . . . because in his world, by the time the resulting law is in effect, he'll have handled the illegal alien problem as well.

In his world, the seas have quit rising and the earth is cooling because he wills it so . . . and that's the scary, scary truth.
