Because if she won’t or can’t do that, she isn’t going to win the election, and if she does you still haven’t won anything.

The list of politicians in the fight is a very short one.
Palin, Cheney. Wilson just got in. Who else? Bolton isn’t a politician, but he’s been out there mixing it up. Beck and Limbaugh and a couple of our other favorite talkers. Beck’s the only actual activist, and he isn’t even a Republican and he isn’t a politician.
The actual elected GOP “leaders” are laying low. If they can’t find their voice or their courage pretty soon they can stay there as far as I’m concerned.
