Obozo says that if his health care plans are a failure, he’ll take responsibility for them.

Unfortunately that means nothing because no matter how responsible he’ll feel, we’ll still be stuck to suffer under it for decades.

He's a narcissist of the first order. There's no way he can acknowledge any responsibility for any failure - ever. He'll simply pass the blame off on someone else, and say his own 'heroic' efforts were thwarted by enemies (all the while rolling a pair of steel ball bearings around in his hands a la Captain Queeg).

When in the paving business, I had a buddy who was Gen Supt for a Major builder and his favorite ‘line’ was

“If ‘they’ don’t pay you, I will quit”.
I would reply
“That may be good for your soul and ego, but it doesn’t make my payroll or do anything for my profit margin”.

“They” were decent payers—at least back then...

0 will never take responsibility no matter what he says or many speeches he gives.

This is why they need people like my two dead dog RHINOs, Snowe and Collins, unprincipled climbers like Spector and their ilk on both sides of the aisle. When presented with a veto-proof bill, no matter how seemingly inconsequential (deal brokered by McCain and some idiot "gang of"), he'll do what he's always done and gotten away with: shrug his shoulders, make some remarks out of two of his faces and sign it. Incrementalism.

Step by step, and we catch the beating...
