A CNN poll taken immediately after the speech showed a 14 per cent bounce in support for Mr Obama’s proposals, which would make it illegal for insurance companies to drop health coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions and to impose arbitrary limits on what a patient can claim.

Yup, CNN sampled 2.5 to 1 without initially mentioning it. No surprise that they later added a paragraph explaining the fact that the poll was lopsided after the criticism but they got what they wanted - a false narrative that would be picked up by fellow leftist bloggers and news sites. Also the poll was 467 voters with a -5/+5 MOE so as to be useless. And even if CNN claims that their poll was lopsided because more Dems watched a Dem President than Pubbies, it was incumbent upon them to interview enough Pubbies so as to get a true reflection of who was swayed in all three camps.

BTW: I have no idea what this writer is talking about when he wrote, "...and to impose arbitrary limits on what a patient can claim." Can anybody explain that?

he day after the most important speech of his presidency , Barack Obama had the satisfaction of a poll showing that one in seven Americans who watched it had changed their minds to back his health reforms. —————————————————

Wonder if this would be the poll that CNN stacked with double the democrats?

Tut tut. Don’t you know it’s what you want to believe that’s important not reality. Said another way [”well, it could be true].
