Apparently one of the three Swedish men who were caught in Pakistan last week, is according to information received by SvT Rapport, Mehdi Ghezali, who for several years was kept imprisoned on the Guantanamo base.
According to Pakistani authorities the Swedes were apprehended together with seven Turks and and one Russian, and are suspected of collaboration with al-Qaida. According to informants the prisoners have been transferred to Islamabad.
The 30 year old Mehdi Ghezali was caught near the Tora Bora mountains in Afghanistan in December 2001, and was shortly thereafter handed over to the US military. He was released from the Guantanamo prison in 2004 without ever being put on trial. The reasons for his imprisonment has never been divulged.
After his return to Sweden Ghezali claimed he had been tortured, but refused to answer questions regarding his activities in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In Pakistan Ghezali was suspected of involvement in a prison outbreak the resulted in 17 deaths. Ghezali denies this.
Medi Ghezali together with the author Gösta Hultén published a book in 2005 "Prisoner on Guantanamo. Mehdi Ghezali's story"

Ping!
Shocking! wink/wink
I always suspected this guy!
Memo this to Barry and Gates, kkthx?
Maybe Barry and Gates could take him with their families in as a foreign exchange terrorist? After all, he WAS judged to be no longer a danger evidentally.
Tag and release.
Even before Obama decided to release the remaining prisoners it was well known that they would return to combat. Several even died in suicide bombings.
He must not be very bright if he keeps getting caught.
Yes, we are so surprised. What are the chances that a young man who was once unreasonably suspected by the Swedish police for a number of crimes, who was arrested in Portugal on faulty charges, arrested in Afghanistan on trumped up charges, and then kept wrongfully in prison in Guantanamo for several years, would once again find himself once again - innocent as he is - in prison?
I mean what are the chances for that??
My bum is on the swedish < /Tom Green >
There’s a lot of women suspects on the “naughty teachers list” threads who just have a guilty looking face.
You can say that again. :)
Sorry, Ali Sven - we're no longer accepting applications at this time.
You know, the average Swedish man is a metrosexual binge drinker who is afraid to take a stand or make a commitment to anything (marriage, religion, etc.). Maybe Sweden should promote polygamy wo real men could boost the Swedish birthrate.
We need much more evidence. We should put top men on them. Top....men.
Those women have somebody’s hands all over them.
Just wait until he demands his “special meals” and other niceties.
Would like to be a fly on that wall when it happens.
LOL
Based on the clintonian-type WH office equipment they are holding, dosesn’t this picture need to have a big “XXX” stenciled across it?
Thanks for posting that ScaniaBoy.
