They NEED to, because their goal is to enact HCR, and partisan fighting of this nature is a big distraction for them.

The Dems have been knocked off message and have lost the critical first post-speech newscycle because of the emphasis on the Wilson "outburst". Their own Alinskyesque tactics are now hurting them, but since so many Dems are on autopilot to use them at a drop of the hat, the leadership is going to have a hard time getting them back under control.
