Kos: The public option is the nutroots’ Waterloo (with video)

What they really want is ruinous single-payer, but they’ll accept a road-to-ruin public option in lieu of that — in the name of compromise, mind you.

He’s still pushing the idea that last year’s election was an electoral endorsement of big-state Hopenchange, despite the tanking polls over the last month, despite the fact that the public is lukewarm at best about a public option, despite the resounding predictions even from lefty pollsters — including Nate Silver, speaking at Yearly Kos — that The One’s insane expansion of government will mean major pick-ups for the GOP next year.

Oh well. Listen to him, Barry! Public option or bust, baby.

The DailyKOS is the political equivalent of an orgasm. There was a huge buildup, a lot of HOPE and expectation, when it came joy and glee followed but it was over shortly after it started, made a lot of noise for a moment and left the orgasmer ready for another one shortly thereafter wondering WTF just happened and slightly disappointed.

Quote of the day from one of the comments on the hotair thread:

“The left doesn’t care what the consequences for their own political fortunes are. They are political suicide bombers. They know they’re going to die. They just want to take as much of America with them as they can. They just hate America with all their hearts and want it gone. Their psychosis has kicked into overdrive, now. Get ready, folks.”

Wow. On the money...

"Most of America voted for HolyO, everything He does is a mandate!!!"

D'oh, these people can't subtract 52 million Obamatron voters from 300! million citizens--that means, NO, the majority of Americans did NOT vote for HolyO!! And NO, there is NOT a mandate for Him to do all the stoopid things he's doing to America!! >:-(

“The left doesn’t care what the consequences for their own political fortunes are. They are political suicide bombers. They know they’re going to die.”

Of course they care, but they know they’re building their utopia.

GD-it! If they get this health care thing this country is finished!

Why do I keep hearing the right say stuff like “Go ahead, Reid, I dare you.”, or “Do it and your finished in ‘10”.

You’re not getting it. If they get this then EVERYTHING else they want is AUTOMATIC in a relatively short period of time. THAT is why you THINK they are acting suicidal. These are not Kamikaze’s, these are people raising a new flag over our country! Wake up!

This is going to be someone’s Waterloo, to be sure.

It won’t matter who is elected to office post 0bamacare’s passage. If Ronald Reagan was elected after this he would serve the left by default—he would be impotent to act in any way that resembles conservatism, not a chance.

They will own your bodies, your children’s bodies.

They know that the minds will follow the bodies.

If the townhalls were not enough then we need to step it up to fight this.

This country will not survive this monumental assault on the fundamentals.

I know you’d like to think it will, but it will most certainly fall to the hard-left.

This is King George times ten!

This is it, folks. I wish those with bigger voices than mine would let the American people in on that fact.

This is the beginning of the end of our way of life.

I don’t care if they had EVERY vote in the House and Senate we have to rise up to fight this BEFORE it is made law.

No compromises either! Leave our doctors and our health care system alone, or suffer our wrath and our total resistance to this new government! This is the message they need to get.

I wander over to the DailyKos from time to time. 85% of the comments are so pointless and poorly written, it is a painful experience I generally try to avoid. Logic is beyond the ability of most posters, IMO.
