The biggest obstacles to defeating radical Islam and the states that sponsor it are attitude and time. Unfortunately, our system of government works against us in this instance.
It takes a strong will, tenacity, and patience to defeat a determined enemy. With political debate and an almost-constant changing of players in Washington, something good that is started is likely never to be finished.
In this day of instant info, our political pendulum just swings too rapidly.
Bush started the process, which was showing results, but he didn’t have time to complete the job.
And the current bunch is uninterested, if not downright hostile, to the fight.
