Progressives decry resignation of Van Jones

The middle-of-the-night resignation Sunday of longtime Bay Area activist Van Jones as a White House environmental adviser left many progressives angry at the Obama administration for buckling to conservative criticism of Jones' controversial past comments and actions.
The administration is losing not only one of the nation's leading environmentalists, progressives say, but one of the few liberal voices with President Obama's ear.
Jones resigned amid a furor over his signature on a 2004 petition questioning the government's actions around the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Supporters say the administration surely knew his background when they appointed Jones, the first African American to write a best-selling environmental book, as special adviser for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. In fact, agents interviewed at least one of his former supervisors in San Francisco - Eva Paterson - when the FBI vetted his appointment.
This year, Time magazine named Jones one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Former Vice President Al Gore is a fan, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said his best-selling book, "Green Collar," showcased his "sparkling intelligence, powerful vision and deep empathy."

""Still, I find it very disturbing that real progressive people with a track record of lots of speeches and actions will find it difficult to speak out," Paterson said. "Little backing-- But few stepped up to protect Jones during the past few weeks." ""He was swift-boated," said Medea Benjamin, a co-founder of the anti-war group Code Pink and a San Franciscan who has known Jones for 15 years. She spoke to him recently and said he was "very conflicted" about whether to resign."
Is there any evidence out there that SHE stood up for him publicly, while there was all this MSM media silence???!! Did HER Code Pink website come out and endorse him in the last week or so!!?? If not, she ought to just shut the h up. NOW they all decide to open their mouths. Some "friends", these progressives. It is safe, now, for they knew that if they spoke up earlier about their affiliation to Jones, while Glenn was exposing him daily, that would also further nail the coffin shut. You can't make this stuff up folks. These people have no honor.

Former Vice President Al Gore is a fan, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said his best-selling book, "Green Collar," showcased his "sparkling intelligence, powerful vision and deep empathy." Both of these "White Environmentalists" have been accused by Van Jones of directing toxic waste into neighborhoods of color.

The poor dears are having a hissy-fit because the American people aren't willing to embrace Marxism when it's not disguised by a slick cult leader.
Jones is simply Obama unleashed -- a very ugly thing, indeed.

“He was busy sparkling and didnt read it thoroughly”
Even though he spoke at a rally on 9/13/01 to blame the US for the attacks? We need to get the info out on that one but maybe Beck will clear the decks of Van Jones tomorrow while he initiates action on now a target rich environment as more people will be watching.
Think of it like the weeks afteer a Super Bowl game when all of a sudden out of nowhere scores of people can be seen sporting shirts and stickers of the victor where weeks before there were none. Glenn is on the rise and more people are taking notice with intentions good and bad.

With one of enemy's advance MIGs downed, pilot ejected, and all our fighters back safely, a post-mission de-brief back at the base:
Cognizant of it or not, IRONICALLY, AND THIS WILL DRIVE SENATOR OBAMA BONKERS, WE TOOK WHOLE SECTIONS OUT OF SAUL ALINSKY'S BOOK AND APPLIED IT WITH GREAT SUCCESS IN VAN JONES' CASE.
I wholeheartedly recommend we perfect these tactics and adopt them in the next cases: Mark, Cass, Valerie and the rest of the whole rotten statist, elitist crew in D.C. (and their replacements if they don't get the message the first time we, the People, are serious).
Sound familiar?:
Rule 5: Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. Its hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. If your people arent having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.
Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.
Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.
Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, Okay, what would you do?
Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Dont try to attack abstract (socialist organizations) or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

Liberals cannot stand it when another liberal gives-in to attacks from conservatives.
For liberals it is like having a soldier run-away from his post during a battle.

Therein we can drive deeper wedges among their ranks, when these internal fissures develop. Which they are now as we speak, beween center leftists and hard core Marxist/Leninist-Maoists within the Democrat/Obama camp. The anger at Obama is starting to arise within their own ranks. This is where we can begin the act, and eventually divide and conquer. They are very weak and off balance as we speak. We cannot allow them to regroup or get back into their funk. They will try it with Senator Obama’s health speech on Wednesday, and they were going to try it with the Hitler Youth speech, but we gottem on the run....
