All the pols involved here were “disingenuous,” insincere or not frank. It also appears that all were “duplicitous,” taking both sides of an argument. Gee, not just talking our of both sides of their mouths, but telling different lies out of the two sides. I don’t think I could do that.

It takes years of practice. You first have to commit your soul to an unholy ideology, sear your conscience until thoroughly crusted over, practice on all those around you by acting as an Angel of light to draw them in to you - then thrusting a dagger into their heart.

It helps to be verbally agile so you can deflect criticism and redefine your intentions when caught, speak in generalities so everyone hears something that tugs on their heart strings, take lots of mental notes, but leave very few footprints on where you've actually been lurking, talk from a script, and rise above the issues by exaggerating the importance of your mission and accomplishments.
