Parents are talking about keeping their kids home from school this week.
Some so-called leaders are expressing grave concern "for the children" in fear of an impending disaster.
And the provocateurs who commandeer broadcast microphones on a daily basis continue to warn of a serious contagion that the nation must fight "by any means necessary."
I could understand it if these folk were worried about the H1N1 ("swine flu") virus, but thats not their concern.
The infection they are afraid of is the president of the United States and his possible influence on Americas children.
In an age when schools are wired with the latest technology, and a young, confident president knows how to use it, the White House thought it a good idea for Barack Obama to address the nations youth. His Tuesday speech can be viewed live in the classroom or recorded and used later.
Many parents have balked at that idea and have put pressure on school administrators not to show the speech or use its proposed accompanying lesson plans. Area districts are handling the matter in different ways: some leaving it up to individual teachers, some taping it to be used on request by students or instructors and at least one that will make it available for parents use to decide if their youngsters should view it.

His Majesty speaks.
What is tragic, sinister and sickening is Obama’s attempt to enlist school children in his ideological agenda and manipulate them for political gain.
Hey now, he's a recipient of the National Association of Black Journalists award for Best TV Sports Feature, as well as being a member of the advisory board of the AIDS Outreach Center in Fort Worth!
I just emailed Bobby Ray to express my point of view. The internet police will likely be knocking on my door soon.
What would Bob Ray Sanders have said if George W Bush had done the same thing—not just the speech, but the study materials packets and the “suggested” assignments, including forcing the children to write letters to themselves asking what they can do to help President Bush?
I’m not barfing over this article.
I’m reveling in it.
The State-Run Media is being forced to recognize the phenomenon of parents across America openly revolting against 0bama’s indoctrination scheme.
The fact that they would characterize it this way is of no surprise, and of no consequence.
Just the fact that they are talking about it at all is enough.
0bama is imploding on every front.
We are seeing the early days of a truly historic failed presidency.
We have 3 years of fun ahead of us, if 0bama lasts that long.
If he resigns or is impeached before then, then we get an extra special spectacle to watch: the Joe Biden Show.
Fixed that headline.
The speech is a slap across the face of the radical teachers NEA union. As bad and socialist as they are, the message from the White House is “you have failed, your feeble efforts at indoctrination into the shining pathway of socialist hope are inadequate”
David Gregory just opined on the Today Show that “the children might be the poorer for it” - missing Bambi’s speech. He is almost as funny as Andrea Mitchell.
Obama has lost the trust of a large portion of the American people. America’s waking up!
Here’s why they are worried Bob Ray;
Chicago politics* community organizer* Barry Soetoro* ACORN* Reverend Jeremiah Wright* Bill Ayers* Ron Blagojevich* Americans are cowards* Tax Evaders nominated to cabinet positions* Americans are arrogant* America is not a Christian country* this is the first time Im actually proud of America* Birthers* politics of destruction* cap and trade is essential for the economy* Auto Czar* Science Czar* African-Americans are more American* fiscal irresponsibility* executive pay limits* redistribution of wealth* won’t allow the legislation to interfere with his authority as president to conduct foreign policy and negotiate with other governments* American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009* Israel needs to engage in serious self-reflection* Tony Resko* Father Pfleger* SEIU* Columbia University* infanticide* President Zelaya* F22 is an inexcusable waste of money* Bernadine Dohrn* Cambridge Police acted stupidly* Chris “I Felt a Thrill Going Up My Leg” Matthews* health care legislation rested on stealth and speed* Trinity United Church of Christ* open and transparent administration* Mr. Teleprompter* veterans are potential terrorist threats* Apollo Alliance* Social Justice* FDRs second Bill of Rights* Inspector General Gerald Walpin* Opportunity Scholarship Program- Washington DC* Gitmo closing* Special Olympics bowling joke* Professor Skip Gates* government run health care* bow to the Saudi king* Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it.* The “Troubled Assets Relief Program” (TARP) * Mary Robinson* John Holden* manufactured anger*
I too think it is tragic sinister, and shocking that this President has come into office shoving crap down our throats so fast that even his ardent admirers have finally become so frightened of his Socialist-Communist idea’s that they are afraid to let him get his Commie ideas into the minds of their kids.
Keep that heathen, communist bastard away from our children!
Oh, come on, Bob Ray. You know you're dying to say it. Call us racists. That's what you really want to say, isn't it?
Yes tragic, sinister and sickening does describe the Zero’s planned speech.
It might even be more persuasive if Obama would have given this same speech to the children in the schools of Chicago while he was a senator. It's very telling that he didn't have any interest in giving such guidance where it was definitely needed!
This entire disaster of the White House giving 'assignment' orders for the teachers to promote a cozy relationship between him & our children is despicable.
Reaction to Obamas school speech is tragic, sinister and sickening
Very nice to start the day with some liberal whine.
As Mr. Perrot said: “You can tell who’s winning...by who’s whining!”
