Did Obama's people send out an e-mail requesting people to post on forums like Facebook?

I’ve yet to succumb to participating in the media of Facebook and Twitter. I simply don’t give a damn.

It has helped me weed down my facebook friends.
I have been called "delusional", "uneducated", "wrong", "unAmerican"(that one I love 20 years Navy to prove other wise), other things I will not be able to repeat.

I close all the ads on the side about that, and any referring to stimulous, etc, etc, etc.

I mark them offensive. I didn't get any today.

No one does die from lack of healthcare! Clinton passed a law that no one can be turned away from an ER, so if they get there they don’t die,DUH!

this is my reply to every friend on my list who posts that:

"I soooo agree with you. I would be so happy if I could buy a plan that lets me be covered for only the things I want to be covered for. I don't want to be covered for gender reassignment surgery or Maternity leave or prostrate cancer. All that stuff makes policies way too expensive. And I would love to shop for policies anywhere in the country, not... just my state. And I would ♥ to find a doctor who doesn't pay enormous amounts in insurance and can charge cheaper rates. But you are right... health care is way too expensive, making to way too unaffordable for too many people. Thank God it is there is a federal law that forbids anyone, citizen or illegal, from being turned denied health care based on ability to pay. But again, I agree with you... health care is very very expensive in this country and I absolutely believe something should be done about it."

I have only been removed from two friend lists for it.

I said that I would like it if someone would pay my expenses, too, and I volunteered to send all my medical bills to the one who posted the assinine message.

It created an interesting response!

I am currently waging a Facebook debate in the comments section of someone who posted this stupid mantra. It's going like this:

Me: No one in this country is dying because they can't afford health care. If you can get to an ER, you will get treated whether you can afford to pay or not - IT'S THE LAW.

Lib: ER's only treat emergencies. People die everyday because the can't afford non-emergency treatment, medicine, etc. they need to stay alive over the long haul.

Me: You can go to an ER right now with a common cold and get treated. That's not an emergency. Why do you think so many ERs are going bankrupt?

Lib: My Dad needs Coumaidin to avoid blood clots and getting a stroke. He can't go to an ER and get Coumidan. If he has a stroke, they'll try to save his life, but without the proper meds over the long haul, he's going to die.

Me: My car needs gasoline and oil in order to run, too, but I don't expect my car insurance company to pay for it, nor would I ask my neighbors to cough up 70% of their hard earned salary in taxes to pay for it.

My guess is things will get ugly from here out. But I plan on pointing out that any Coyote can drive a vanload of illegal aliens across the border, going 115 mph with headlights turned off and traveling on the wrong side of the road, hit another car and kill three people (US citizens), flip three times causing mass casualties and injuries to the 15 people inside the van, and every one of those illegals still alive will be Medivac'd by helicopter at the cost of $15,000 per person to the nearest ER for state of the art medical care at no cost to them.

I did a parody of it on my facebook page: No one should die because they want Korean dramas delivered to their door. If you agree, post this, or some other silly & useless message as your Facebook status.

I had about 5 friends on Facebook post this today. Four of them are from a social group I used to belong to several years ago. The other one works in theater. Of the first four, the first one of them to post it was someone who teaches at a university. I was actually disappointed in seeing a couple of my friends post this. I had thought more highly of them before that.

I did, however, have one friend who is a Conservative Christian and changed the Facebook post into an anti-Obama, pro-Christian posting. I thought that was good.

I ALMOST posted the following reply to his Christian version of the post, but then I chickened out. I’ll just post it here instead:

“No one should die because they cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because they get sick”. I actually agree with this. Case and point are the socialized medicine “health care systems” in places like the U.K. and Canada. Patients there routinely die, because the government does such a poor job of running the system: either the care must be rationed or quality suffers. Where do Canadians go when they REALLY need health care?? They come to the U.S. and pay for it out of pocket. In spite of it’s flaws, the U.S. still has one of the best systems in the world.

So, no one should die because they cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because they get sick - both of which happen regularly under government-run socialized medicine. Obama is lying when he tells us our health care will be much better if we institute his massive government-run socialized medicine scheme here in the United States.

“Obama Lied, Grandma Died !!”

I love your response!

One positive thing about all this; I now know which of my friends and relatives I should hide or delete altogether.

A friend of my husband's posted this in response:

"No one should be sober because they cannot afford a drink, and no one should go broke because they get drunk. If you agree, please post this as your status for the rest of the day."

I commend you for not responding and probably just rolling your eyes. I posted a no response on my own wall about Obama’s school speech and some childless liberal said responses like that are what is wrong with our once great country. It’s like someone going into your house to argue your viewpoint. Get a life! Not you. Them. :)
