Michelle Malkin: Independent TV documentarian Jan Helfeld asks California Democrat Rep. Pete Stark about the national debt and the economy. Stark tells him repeatedly to shut up,

Fascist without a bell tower...what a travesty.
And just how old is this “man”?
What a childish POS.
Grow up, loser.
Someone needs to be thrown out, all right, and it sure isn’t the person asking the question.
At this point, I expect nothing less from an elected official.
Sounds like a terroristic threat to me.
What an arrogant SOB
We see the nature of our rulers now.
I did find the interviewer’s manner somewhat grating.
Who does he think he is? A Kennedy?
POS: Democrat:
Example: Pete Stark
Wow, he’s testy! Why did he agree to do the interview? The guy was just asking about debt - I didn’t find him obnoxious at all.
Democrats think they are above approach, now that they are in power.
My what a change from how they demanded Republican representatives be drawn, quartered and eviscerated at their request.
Prey that “they” continue to P*** off the media...then the media will turn against them...
POMPOUS ARROGANT demonRAT!
More campaign ad material which should be used by the GOP in 2010.
What a friggin pussy.
That was unbelieveable.
In what way was the interviewer grating?
Stark insulted him personally, his education, the university he attended and NEVER answers the questions put to him! Stark’s arrogance is completely over the top and his continuous non-answers to reasonable questions was quite amazing.

Lets hope so.
Stark has long been insane.
oops.
Sorry about that pappyone.
I came in 2nd place without seeing your post.
Stark doesnt have an advanced economic degree, either.
Yes, he has an MBA, from UC Berkely in 1960.
We all know what great economists they are in Berkeley.
More debt = more prosperity. Its the liberal way.
What propably happened here, was the interviewer didn’t follow the script. Asking unrehearsed questions is considered “grating” to RATS.
I had thought that threatening ones life was illegal? Maybe our laws have changed?

How did this guy not get a cabinet position... (see above)
That’s OK, Mr. Stark, we the voters will just throw you out of office!
Who is running against this arrogant SOB in 2010? It is time to throw Rep. Stark out of DC!!
What is Starks educational background? Does he have a doctrite in economics. What an egotistical, ill tempered, rude, trailer trash POS - we pay his salary - HE’S FIRED!
A line that will now live forever, thanks to Congressman Stark: The more debt we owe, the wealthier we are.
Everything out of Stark’s mouth was arrogant and condescending. Jan asked a perfectly good question, and couldn’t get a logical—let alone truthful—answer. Then Stark wants to throw JAN out the window? Jan had a lot more patience with this twit than I would have had.
Let’s all share the love and let Pete Stark know who REALLY needs to be thrown out of office:

Persistence is necessary in the face of condescending arrogance and trying to avoid answering questions with questions such as "do you have a doctorate in economics", as if all lawmakers naturally are economic experts--essentially saying "who are you to be asking me these questions".
It's seldom possible to be perfect in handling such situations.
I thought the interviewer went above and beyond to be respectful and patient with the arrogant SOB.
People ELECTED this guy?
and his continuous non-answers to reasonable questions was quite amazing. = democrat talking points. /s
Jus' the people taking back Congress one seat at a time.
Stark needs a good a$$-whoopin’.
Had the interviewer received an answer that even approached a sane answer, I’m sure he would have moved on. Stark couldn’t defend his position without seeming as wildly daft as the Mad Hatter, so he was left to denigrate Jan’s education background (what is Stark’s, by the way?) and threaten him with violence.
Pete Stark is not only (in all likelihood) the most left-wing member of Congress, but also its biggest a—hole. And when the subject is Congress, that is something of an achievement. He has a long-standing reputation as a hothead and as a bully who enjoys throwing his weight around.
As I stated on another thread, this “interview” was very poorly handled by the interviewer. Mr. Stark repeatedly makes factual statements about our present monetary system and how “debt” is really a measure of the money supply, hence in his mind the “wealth” of the Nation. More debt = more money = more wealth.
The questioner failed to allow Mr. Stark to continue to make such statements (he just badgers him like a child) and then take him to task on the mechanisms of inflation and deflation, and especially how the present system is not tied to any fixed measure that allows a reasonable growth in the Nation’s “wealth” based upon its productive output.
In addition, he fails to make the point that such a system is un-Constitutional, and that it gives politicians essentially an endless supply of “free” money with which to fund their entitlement programs that keep them in power. The system robs “wealth” from the Nation, instead of acting as a measure of the true wealth of the Nation.
LOL, I’ll bet you can find tons of info/quotes from Stark complaining about the deficit and debt when Reagan was in office.
But If I was being interviewed by that Jan idiot, I would have told him to shut the F up and listen also.
Jan is an economic dunder head. Stark gave him plenty of opportunities before he pulled the plug on him and was justified to end the interview.
Democrats have BECOME the "Monster" they warned against in the days when protesting against government was a good and patriotic thing.
Even from 2000 miles away here in St. Louis, I’ve long recognized Stark as a particularly odious piece of arrogant filth, even when compared to the abysmally low standards of his fellow Congressional scummates.
Stark earned an engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley.
