I think this info should be given to the Republicans...especially Snowe..to show what they are agreeing to if they don’t try to do something about it...and also the Democrats..surely there are some that would have a problem with it..even if only in terms of them worrying about reelection.

Is there anything in the law that prevents Obama from appointing these czars?

No, they are not Cabinet level, or others that require legislative review and approval. There are hundreds and hundreds of them. Each new administration can bring them in.

What this guy's big issue is security risk-side of things. He would have never gotten a federal job up until about 1993, when the Clinton Administration waived rules barring communists or former communists from serving in top positions. Still, IMHO, a Congressional staffer working for a conservative GOP Member, can really get into this and stir the s, from the Hill, something fierce. I think Glen Beck and talk radio and blog can only do so much, at some point the GOP and moderate/conservative Democrats in office have to step in.
