Brown Didn't Want Lockerbie Bomber to Die in Jail

EDINBURGH, Scotland — British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is facing accuations of "double-dealing" after confidential documents were released on Tuesday revealing that Libya was told Brown wanted the Lockerbie bomber to die a free man.

"We did not want him to die in prison, no, we weren't seeking his death in prison," Miliband said.

Al-Megrahi, 57, was the only person convicted in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, which killed 270 people. Scotland freed him on compassionate grounds Aug. 20 after doctors said he had terminal cancer.

U.S. Justice Department spokesman Richard Kolko said Tuesday that his department had "received assurances in the 1990s that al-Megrahi's full sentence would be served in Scotland."

Britain has growing economic interests in Libya — from oil exploration to financial services. Last year, British imports from Libya topped some $1.6 billion.

Then they should have just taken him outside the prison gates and shot him. Like a dog. In the dirt.

Wait a minute. The man (and I use the term loosely) was sentneanced to life in prison. As such, it was expected that his sentence would not end until his life did. Hence, he was supposed to die in prison.

Damn politicians have no clue.

Really??? It wasn’t just Americans that died on that Pan-Am flight. Brown was’t snubbing us, he was pissing on the memory of all those that died in that crash. As far as Ozero’s childish behaviour goes, does that justify letting a mass murderer go and then lying by calling it compassion when in reality it was an oil deal between two whores.

So true. These POS pols self righteously take the “high road” in not negotiating with terrorists over a human life, but won’ hesitate to do it over an oil deal or whatever else will benefit THEM. This was nothing but negotiating with terrorists. Brown not only spit on the memory of those that died in the plane crash, but also on all Great Britains brave men and women who have died in the war on terroism.

The Brits used to hang Jewish Irgun “terrorists” from trees after 30 min trials when they occupied Israel. Now they can’t even stomach letting a Muslim mass-murderer die in prison?

Still, that sounds so vindictive. I mean, kill a few hundred people and just because of that, they die in jail. It’s simply beastly, you know. That’s what I told mummy at tea yesterday. It sounded simply beastly, when there are so many billions to be made by freeing him. My dog told me to do it, and I agreed. So blame him. It wasn’t my idea.

The tragedy of mankind is that we forget. “Yes I know this person murdered, but it was all a long time ago and he’s a changed man now. He’s reformed/dying/his father/mother/cat is ill (delete as applicable)” You hear it all the time. And when the families of the victims protest they are made out to be cruel and heartless and guilty of bearing grudges!

The same thing happened with Myra Hindley, the Moors murdereress (look it up if you haven’t heard of her). That had a different ending, but purely because some of the families made it clear they wouldn’t stand for it.

Then why did the Brits redact the references to the US in the papers just released...?

Inquiring minds want to know...

“As we move ahead with the many ways in which the United States and Libya can work together as partners, there remain areas where real work needs to be done,’’ McCain said. “The status of human rights and political reform in Libya will remain a chief element of concern.’’ The American delegation also included Senators Joseph I. Lieberman, Susan M. Collins, and Lindsey O. Graham.

And these people do not speak for me. Why is it that some people are held to one standard and others are not. How can anyone be upset with Brown, when obviously our Congress and Executive branch had NO problem with releasing a killer?

Implication? What the .ellllll was this bunch doing in Libya mid-August 2009, talking 'trade' deals for US with Libya, right as a terrorist killer was being granted freedom. Isn't that the complaint against Brown he did it for trade deals?

Beyond the idiocy of Brown's statement, this will also be a test for the people of the UK. If Cameron and his Tories can't wrest control back from Labor when an already unpopular Brown makes such a bone-headed decision, then the country of Churchill and Thatcher has been lost for ever to the social corrosion that is multiculturalism.

If we don't do something about the flood of illegal immigrants quickly, we will soon follow in the UK's footsteps.

There's some places in South Korea that does them. I got a few made there. Real classy looking. Of course, in my case I earned them, at least as well as any US Air Force zoomie could.
