Even though I’m fortunate to live in conservative Darrell Issa’s district, I’d vote him out, too. I’m beginning to be of the persuasion that, as was once said, 535 people chosen randomly from phonebooks could govern no worse, and probably much better, than the clowns currently in Washington.

Are you really saying that would vote for a Democrat challenger against the (100% conservative in 2008) Darrell Issa?

You best clarify your statement.

No, I would not vote for a liberal Dem. But, if we're gonna throw them ALL out, we throw them ALL out, Issa included, and start over.

It's not going to happen, though. I doubt that enough voters of every district in every state will even GET the urge to vote out their own representative. Call me pessimistic, but I see armed violence occurring before that happens.

The reason we keep getting a lousy Congress is that most people think their own Representative is fine, but it's the REST of Congress that needs to be thrown out. Hence, we keep getting what we're getting now. Elections are local, so the only voice we have is for our own Congressman. I'm fortunate to have Issa as my representative, but unfortunately, Nancy Pelosi's district feels the same way about her.
