Military bases will warn those stationed there who to do business with locally, and who not to. Here’s a good example of why.
In answer to your first question, my answer would be Tar, Feathers and a nice, rough rail with lots of splinters for the LONG ride out of town! Failing that, a week-long vacation visit with the Iron Maiden... and I KNOW it could be made to last at least that long, maybe longer!
Neil, what do you think???
Agreed. Kipling was a MASTER at capturing emotions... Read his “Last of the Light Brigade” and his poem on fighting in Afghanistan. Masterpieces! (And the Afghan one is STILL right on the mark. On the other hand, his “White Man’s Burden” is an ode to the sort of smug arrogance that made the Brits well and cordially hated ‘round the world.
A sodden thought slogged its way through my mind just now... “White Man’s Burden” could ALSO be used to describe how the Kennedy Klan which just lost two of its number this last week or so, including tonight, views the world... the smug, smarmy arrogance and attitude of that whole family is evil incarnated.
“I feel used!”
That’s only because you ARE used... on a daily basis, and without either a drop of K-Y Jelly OR a kiss afterward.
Just for everyone’s FYI, I found the dealer’s website and a review of the dealership from an unhappy customer:

Sounds like a real shark operation.
First clue was the guy claiming he worked for NFCU. There is NO WAY they would do anything like that.
My old Sergeant Major told me back in 1986 (a young bright eyed Corporal)there are two things you just cant talk a young Marine out of but should try
1. getting Married
2. buying a car
I did both (sorry Sgt Maj) The car lasted about a year! Still have the wife tho! Runs better than ever!
PS Navy Fed is a great credit union I’ve been a member since 1989
Mother Jones?
GMAFB
Thanks. Me ‘at is off to ye!
:)
This is like the snake-handling cults in Georgia, or the cobra-kissing swamis of India. They're courting injury and death pulling this crap and lying so ebulliently about it.
I was a member (it was LANTFLT NORVA FCU when I joined) from 1972 until they changed to a commercial bank so they could sell out to WAMU a couple of years ago. Left enough with them so they could make a ton of payday and Christmas loans over the years. One way to support the Fleet, right?
They were pokey, but they served the purpose and helped the people who needed it.
Real men don’t toss cheap shots like yours at fellow service members.
When I was a company commander at Ft Campbell, I occassionally got calls about debts like this for my soldiers. I told the collector real quick that I was not a collection agency and not to call me again.
In norfolk, in ‘71, several of us took cars on ‘test drives’ from differant ‘dealers’ and dropped them off at the base impound area, and gave the keys to the JAG’s office.
What happened after that was above my pay grade; but a couple dealerships went out of business. Rumor was that the credit unions ‘black listed’ the dealerships. No young sailors to take advantage of, no bussiness.
Some good articles at times..in response to your GMAFB. Times change.
Just like those that don't read bills? but comment anyway. ;)
Apparently most of the posters on this thread have no idea what kind of rag Mother Jones is. It's way to the far left folks. Think of The Nation on steroids. They not only don't like shady car dealers, they don't like car dealers period. If they had their way, there would be no cars.
The same can be said for the NY Slimes.
The bias is obvious.
