Dr. Robert A. PEARLMAN wrote the book. He works for the VA and is well known as a supporter of Physician Assisted Suicide. Pearlman's book for the VA specifically refers Veterans to an organization fronting for the HEMLOCK SOCIETY, which promotes suicide. Pearlman's writing is cited in the literature prominently along with another supporter of Physician Assisted Suicide: Ezekial Emmanuel, brother of Obama's chief of staff RAHM EMMANUEL.
Pearlman also touts his role as a "Faculty Scholar" in the "Project on Death in America." This project is funded by GEORGE SOROS. Yes, THAT George Soros. And yes, the real name of the project Soros paid millions for is PROJECT ON DEATH IN AMERICA (think about the double-meaning). Soros gave one of the Death Project's "youth" grants to "support the publication of an anthology of stories about death by urban youth." (Just what every urban neighborhood needs??!!)
Soros considered the DEATH PROJECT so important that he wrote his own published statement to accompany the Project's report. Soros writes, point-blank: "This brings me to that hotly debated subject, physician-assisted suicide. This is the one aspect of dying that is talked about everywhere — on television, in public forums, in newspaper headlines and serious journal articles, and in the courts. ... I believe people should be allowed to determine their own end.."
THERE CAN BE NO MISTAKE about the values of those who have been infiltrating their way into our society, even into OBAMA'S Department of Veterans Affairs. The Department's fake female "hero" TAMMY DUCKWORTH looked like an idiot trying to shuck-and-jive her way out of it in her television interview.
(Duckworth, a loudmouth National Guard captain showboater, was careless on a training mission and put a new in-country pilot unnecessarily in harms way, when they were hit by an RPG. She was not conducting any kind of heroic mission. But she wants to use that now, along with her Liberal handlers, so she can run for office again after being previously defeated for Congress. Then, before coming to VA, she worked for Gov. Blogojevich -- yes, BLOGO -- in Illinois where insiders say she made a shambles out of the state Veterans office.)

Yes 'refresh' memory! Say like all my living memory of politics, liberals have accused Republicans of going to take away or cut social security... and how many seniors believed as if it were gospel. And now look who it literally is that because of their controlling our economy are going to be CUTTING these deceived seniors social security benefits. Why because it is their law. IF there were any 'brains' within the GOP 'big' tent not under the liberal TARP they would be running ads 'big time' exposing who is making CUTs in social security remittances.
But no, thanks to the stupid lord McCain paying back 'conservatives' for not electing him in 2000, he made sure that only liberals can use whatever method they divine to fund their political campaigns. Even passing a so called 'stimulus' just for the purpose of campaign 2010.
Liberals politicians are NOT concerned about what legislation they know they can pass. They know there are enough RHINOs collecting out of the same stimulus pot to give themselves so called bipartisanship cover.

Nobody is making cuts. The normal increases are not warranted based on the indicators used to compute such things. Luckily it is against the rules to decrease base payments.

I believe I heard that coming increases in Medicare coupled with no COLA for 2 years for Social Security is a net loss for seniors.
I understand that part. It’s the “who” and “why” that is being disputed. For purposes of clarity, the index that is being used to compute social security payments predates the Obama administration. Why are payments not going to increase? Cost of living has gone down. If there were any fiscally responsible Republicans they would insist payments actually be cut. Not likely, huh?

Yes I have heard/read the same thing. So in actual dollar terms our seniors are literally getting a cut. I can't wait to hear how the liberals are going to explain this to the very 'old' grandmas they have deceived year in and year out. Some how it will get blamed as a Bush law or a Republican plot and plan.
Because we all know if the Republicans really cared about these old grandmas they would stop fighting Bama and his reformation of their health care. (Guess I better add that s/ just in case someone needs to see it.)
The majority of people in this nation ignored the idea of privatizing Social Security, led of course by the very ones who are doing whatever they can to make sure there is no money coming in to pay out these promises.
Republicans have become the 'devil' himself to the majority of our seniors on the subject of Social Security, and for the time being Republicans have no clout with them regarding what 'was' necessary to keep their remittances in the mail. Sadly I do not know how this will affect many of our seniors who bought the liberal deception. Could be why I cannot turn on the tube and not hear some 'big' Pharma ad for 'depression' pills.
Personally that is what I got out of Bama 'speak' describing his health care reformation when he said we might be better off giving old grandma a pill instead of a pace maker.
And given his religious speak last week health care has become a 'reformation'.
Just read on Glenn Beck’s website that the organization behind all the legislation that has been introduced to Congress is the Apollo Alliance. I’m trying to learn more about them. I’m guessing that Soros helps fund them; not sure.
